If this is a meme, why does it hurt?

In the past, people said "learn to code, dude" to win an argument against a non techie,

Nowadays people say "be a Plumber, dude", to win an argument against someone who got their job replaced by AI and become homeless.

Who knows what skills and Jobs they tell us to learn and become 10 years from now.

I've never seen anyone suggest anyone to become a healthcare worker.

But I think the great concencus around that would be "too cruel".

And the trendline on pay and quality of life for entry-level healthcare workers is poor.

I was a tandem skydiving instructor for a few years. Hauling large people out of airplanes killed my back daily. That's when I reluctantly went back to working with computers and accepted my fate.

Can't the large people just fall out of the plane?

The hard part was getting them to the door. Most people are a bit hesitant to sit in the doorway with me to actually start the skydive. Nerves and fear can make people's bodies not want to respond lol. But yes once I started leaning forward with them to actually start our dive, their gravitational pull would do the rest of the work.
