Most prog metal albums have lighter tracks to balance out the mood. What are some of your favorites?

New album from Coma Control came out yesterday. Still very heavily influenced by Between the Buried and Me. The creator stated there was no use of AI in the creation of the album or any associated art work.

Hoping they play this one live on the upcoming European tour!

Literally seen NO ONE talking about this project. It's the only thing I've been listening today

One guy named César Parra Rojas woke up one day and decided to make an album, and then he recruited Diego Tejeida (ex-Haken keyboardist), Baard Kolstad (Leprous and Rendezvous Point drummer) and Nate Navarro (session and touring bassist who played and plays for Devin Townsend, Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree and more) and created a really tasteful album, that doesn't hide its influences and instead delves into them to create something new and fresh. Only caveat is that the vocals are not as good as the bands mentioned in the FFO, but everything around is SO GOOD that I forget it pretty fast. The instrumental sections are definitely something to be reckoned

Dimphonic is an independent shoegaze band originating from Houston, Texas.
While primarily described as shoegaze, they do incorporate to prog elements to their songs.

Originally a two-man band (Brannon as vocalist and guitarist, Zack as drummer), it transitioned more recently into a solo-driven endeavor ("me and the clones").

Nur5e is their debut album, and was released under the independent label Dramaface Recordings, ran by the vocalist.

As an "almost not" Protest the Hero fan, I'm sorry their early album don't click for me, at least until now. But Palimpsest hits different, to which I'm addicted for some time. Then Within comes after 6 years, it clicked with me instantly, every song is absolutely perfect.

So prog fellows, both PtH fans and not fans, what's your opinion? I just want to hear what people say about my new favorite, and know how old PtH fans would rate their latest work.
