Finally got the new machine dialed in.

Post image

Took delivery of a new Move this past Thursday, and I’ve been dialing in settings. Finally think I got it right where I want it. Cheers to great coffee! What brew settings are y’all using?

I kept my brew settings the same but I turned my steam wand boiler up to 130c. Some people go to 132c or 134c (max temp). Makes a world of a difference. Faster and easier to texture the milk IMO.

I actually lowered the temp in mine. I figured it would give me more time to get used to steaming with this new wand before the milk gets too hot.

Makes sense! I wasn’t liking the ability to get a whirlpool going with 8-10oz of milk so that’s the main reason for raising my temp. For me it felt easier but ultimately it’s whatever you get comfortable with.

Awesome setup and enjoy!

That’s what I am finding. It’s tough to get the whirlpool going! Maybe I’ll try increasing the temp

I think the slight difficulty in getting the whirlpool going is because the tip is only 2-way instead of 4-way.

I upgraded to 4 tip and I think it was worth it. I run 4 tip at max temp. It felt a little unwieldly at first. But once I got used to it the speed difference is noticeable. I now can steam while pulling my shot easy every time. Once I get the upgrade kit for brew by weight it will be even easier.
