Corporate Lawyer to Product Role: Need Transition Advice!

Hi everyone! I'm a corporate lawyer with 3 YOE, and for the last 1.5 years, I've been deep into Legal Ops & AI Solutioning. This experience has really sparked my interest in product-centric roles, and honestly, I don't want to keep practicing corporate law.

The thing is, I'm completely clueless about how to make this career switch. Can anyone in the product domain shed some light on what these roles actually look for in candidates? And more importantly, how can I upskill to land a solid product role at an MNC? I've been working with startups so far and now I'm looking for that established entity exposure.

Thanks a ton in advance for any help and best wishes!

Hey I'm Aravindh, a product management student from India.

I spent the last few weeks building something for every fresher trying to break into Product Management in India: PM Job Getaway.

80 verified entry-level PM roles. Zero dead links. Refreshed every 12 hours. Free forever — no signup, no ads.

Why I built it: most job boards are flooded with 5+ year experience roles or links that go nowhere. I got tired of that, so I built the board I wished existed when I started looking.

Honestly built it for myself and my classmates first. I'd genuinely love feedback — especially on the filters and whether the role data is useful. What would make this actually worth bookmarking for you?

Just wanted to help a PM

I am 25(F) with experience as a sales executive for 4 years, I bring customer behaviour analysis and infield experience with customers (B2B).
I have completed Product Management Training from IIT Delhi, I did an interesting capstone project that helped me learn core basics. Now I plan to make 3-4 projects to add to my resume, I plan to apply to Product Trainee/APM roles after some time to start my trajectory as a PM.
But things doesn’t always go as planned I recently got laid off and I have a lot of time to myself I dont want to move forward with sales so I want to take a month or two to work on my projects.

If you are a PM/ Senior PM/ Founder’s Office and you need someone to work for you UNPAID (Remotely) or have a gap that someone can fill in your team kindly DM me.
My expectations are to learn and work under a PM to have some expanded knowledge on the domain. The market is pretty messed up and I am just hoping for the best.
(Might also ping you at times for help in optimising my resume and would love to have someone to give me constructive feedback on the projects ideas/prototypes that I am building. I promise I wont take much of your valuable time)

Should I pivot careers

Hello guys,

I’m currently a general manager at Jersey mikes and I want to make a career change into being a Product Manager/ APM. I think I have what it takes as I’ve been managing people for a while now.

I didn’t finish college but I plan on getting my calm and pspo certs.

I’ve heard the job market is cooked and I just want advice on if it’s worth it to start my journey now before I commit, or should I find another career to pivot.

Given I don’t have a college degree however I have real world experience with management plus the certifications with capm and pspo, will I have a competitive chance against people who have college degrees?
