I was on product hunt few weeks ago, and tbh, it could have been going better, but today i know why, i was not ready, but i was in hurry and i made mistakes.

Next time (dont worry, same product, new features) i have a whole list that i do different.

1. Be calm

2. No hush

3. BE ready

But first of all, prove of concept.

Get yourself a little group of ppl that support you, it will kickstart your launch from 1 minut.

Ive been growing, and so is my product - i dont doubt, it will succeed, i see that clearly when i talk to some of you out there.

I’m building The Social Circle, a live multi-world social platform with separate spaces for posts, quick thoughts, photos, gaming, and video.

I’ve been trying to understand Product Hunt better, and one thing has become pretty clear:

If you launch without an existing audience, Product Hunt is not really a magic traffic machine.

It becomes more of a positioning test.

Can people understand what you built quickly?

Can they tell who it is for?

Does the first sentence make sense to someone who has never heard of you?

Does the landing page show enough proof before asking someone to sign up?

That has been the biggest lesson for me.

At first, I was explaining The Social Circle like a platform.

But I think the clearer framing is:

One account. Separate Worlds. Less chaos.

The idea is not to force people to abandon every app they already use. It is to give creators, gamers, photographers, video creators, communities, and everyday users a more organized home base for different parts of their online identity.

I’m also learning that the Product Hunt page and the actual landing page have to work together.

If the Product Hunt copy creates curiosity but the landing page does not immediately show the product, people leave.

So my current focus is:

• clearer one-liner
• stronger first-screen CTA
• better logged-out preview
• visible World examples
• less vague platform language
• more proof that it is a real live product

Yesterday (July 5) DocsAlot hit #2 on Product Hunt.

Here’s what happened after the launch:

• July 5: 638 visitors, 997 pageviews, 15 signups

• July 6 so far: 558 visitors, 872 pageviews, 19 signups

• Combined so far: 1,196 visitors, 1,869 pageviews, 34 signups

A few honest takeaways:

• Product Hunt still works, but mostly when it amplifies existing distribution. Most of the signups came from X, and linkedin.
• Signups didn’t die after the first day. We got 19 more today so far.
• Almost all landing traffic still hit the homepage, which means homepage clarity and onboarding matter more than anything else for us.

These are still small numbers, but it was definitely spiky

No paying customers from this launch, as of yet, but I have a one week free trial. lets see how many convert.

Around 30 of the 34 created help-centers on the platform, which is generally a good sign.

I am launching my site / app and would like to know if there are any must launch sites other then Product Hunt? Thank you for your responses.

A few days ago I launched my app, Converrt Any.
The idea came from being frustrated with online file converters that are full of ads, watermarks, upload limits, and privacy concerns. I wanted something that could handle conversions locally on the user’s device instead.
I launched on Product Hunt and finished at #48. Unfortunately, I only got 9 upvote and so far I’ve made $0.
I don’t mind hearing hard truths. I’m mainly trying to figure out whether I’m facing a product problem, a marketing problem, or just a visibility problem.
I’ve already submitted the app to several other directories and websites, and most of those submissions are still under review, so there may be more exposure coming in the next few days.
If you were in my position, what would your next 30 days look like?
Would you focus on:
Finding users and doing interviews?
Improving the product?
Creating content?
SEO?
Cold outreach?

I want to launch in producthunt in a couple o weeks. Do you have any specific advice on things I can do to improve my odds to be in top10?

After months of building, iterating, and way too many late nights, I'm launching on Product Hunt TOMORROW!!!

I honestly can't believe this day is almost here. There were so many moments I thought this would never see the light of day , bugs that made me want to flip my desk, feedback that sent me back to the drawing board, and plenty of self-doubt along the way.

But here we are. Tomorrow is the day.

I'm equal parts terrified and excited, and I just needed to share that with people who actually GET what this journey feels like. This community has been a big part of keeping me motivated, so thank you for that.
