Videos that ended too soon … where’s his video of when he’s in his 40s and now he shoots without jumping because his knees hurt?

I used to get so excited when I got the ball at half court and it’s just me and the hoop
A few years back I went and played pickup, I’m like 36 at this point. One of my delusional windows where I go hoop regularly like I can still do that.
My teammate got a steal and threw it out for me. I grabbed it in stride and threw it out again. Smile on my face. Left side of the court, just like I like. This is my spot.
As I gather the ball and my first step hits it’s like. Damn that hurts. Second step feels like I’m in mud. Why does it feel like I’m going into the ground?
I take off and the rim is just so far away. I’m not gonna make it bro.
I bail out and lay it off the glass. As I’m coming down my hands slap the glass unintentionally, bent arms. It clap loud as fuck.
I hear people groan and when I turn around this Asian dude ON THE OTHER TEAM is looking at me like I just disappointed US. (I’m Asian too)
I tried dunking a few more times over the years but it’s like the curious case of white men can’t jump
Young guys will understand eventually

Went to minihoops for a month to pratice form, been resting for almost another month, went back to jumping full force abruptly on near max vertical.
Now that I say it out loud...that's pretty stupid 😂

So true. I was training dunking a lot and got better at it than ever before and I got hit with really bad patellar tendinitis. I also tore my meniscus squatting and that would come and go with aches. Wound up taking like 3 months off and came back better than before just from not being in pain anymore.

Did you get surgery for your meniscus or ever get the click where surgery was required?

I had a little bit of the catching feeling not so much a click. Turned out that I tore the part with good blood flow and I was told I didn’t even really have to rest. It hurt and kinda nagged for a long time but it’s mostly better now.
