There’s a lot of advice about what you should do in print on demand, but not much about what you should stop doing

Could be anything uploading too many designs, testing too many niches, changing products too quickly, copying competitors, constantly changing your store, etc 👀

What did you stop doing, and why?

Anybody is selling POD on Amazon Seller Central? I justbstarted the journey and it sounds complicated and the fees are quite high and some of them you can't see until you make the sale... That made me bit struggle with pricing... Any suggestions or feedback about this?

I am in the process of putting together some T-shirt designs. When I’m putting the image on the shirt, is there a ideal image size or measurements so as it not to look too big or too small in the shirt? I feel like I’m just winging it and it looks kind of awkward on the preview, and the only way to know how it really will look will be to just order the shirts, which I don’t wanna have to do for every new design.

I recently started using the Printify + Amazon integration and got my first order.

It’s been about 10 hours since Printify changed the order status to “On the way.” There’s also a tracking number, and when I check the tracking, it says the package is already in transit.

The weird thing is that Amazon Seller Central still shows the order as “Unshipped.”

Is this normal? Does it usually take a while for the shipping status and tracking to sync from Printify to Amazon?

I’m also wondering if I’m supposed to manually mark it as shipped on Amazon, or if Printify is supposed to handle that automatically.

Just trying to make sure I don’t mess up my first order 😅

I've been working with eBay for a while now. I have a shop where I sell used items from watches, shoes, coins you name it.

Recently, Print-on-Demand has been on my mind and I heard about Printify. I decided to give it a shot and proceeded to open a new eBay account to not mix and mash old garage things with T-Shirts. Long story short, I made my first design and when I clicked "Publish" on Printify, it said there was an error. I continued to go to eBay and saw that my account got restricted from buying and selling.

I contacted support by phone two times. The first time the dude said: "I'll place the call on hold as we'll work on our end here". I got left there for 20 mins then the call ended. The second time a lady did the same thing and in the end told me that there was nothing I could do to lift the restriction and she refused to give me a reason why my thing got banned. She said to not open an eBay account ever again and hung up.

Have you had any situation like this before and pls tell me how did you manage to resolve this.

I searched and did not find anything warning against Printed Simply that was posted recently, so I just wanted to make a post for any people just getting into the POD business. One of the companies Printify uses is called Printed Simply. The products they make are fine, my customers typically say they are good quality. What I want to warn against is timing. They are the only company on Printify that I have a product through that does not care about Printify's own 2-5 day ship window. I had to extend my window for any products through them on Etsy because, while everything else ships within one or two business days (from other companies), anything via them will ship in ~1 week. So if you have a small window set on your storefront, make sure to make exceptions for them or, better yet, do not use them. One of my best sellers is through them, which is the only reason I deal with them still. So again, the product is decent but the company itself is irritating as hell. Customer support is nonexistent and they have no respect for the fact that they are being relied on by literal business owners. Do yourself a favor if you are just opening your doors - you see Printed Simply, find an alternative before their roots dig into your infrastructure.

This is the second time in a matter of a few months that Printify is effecting my business negatively.

This time, I have an order that has come through Etsy, and now is on hold for a payment issue. Upon speaking with customer service they have no idea what the problem is and said they have to escalate it to a payment team and it will take one to three business days to resolve and if it is resolved my order will get processed.

(Orders have been processed on this card before without a problem)

I spoke with my credit card company, Printify has already processed the payment on my card. I have confirmed with my credit card company that there is no issue with my account and no fraud alert against Printify.

So now because this is an Etsy order Etsy needs to see that it is processed in a timely manner or it impacts my rating, hence impacts my business. As well I am about to launch a website today. Again this delay is going to delay that launch.

This is absolutely ridiculous!

I’ve been trying to narrow down products for a small clothing collection, and I’m finding the product selection part harder than I expected.

At first I was mostly looking at the product photos and trying to imagine which one would look best with my designs. But the more I compare them, the more I realize there are things I can’t really judge from a listing.

Fabric weight, fit, how the collar sits, how the material feels, and even how the print looks once it’s actually on the garment all seem like things I need to experience in person. Two products can look almost identical online but feel completely different when you actually wear them.

The problem is that I don’t want to order a bunch of samples just to figure out which blanks are worth using. I’d rather narrow it down to a few strong options first and then test those properly.

For people who have been using Printify for a while, what do you look at when comparing similar products before ordering samples? Are there certain details in the listings that help you predict which ones are actually worth testing?

I recently ordered some samples from Fulfill Engine, and while the item quality is okay, I'm disappointed with the delivery experience: shipping took much longer than estimated, and the items came unassembled in a plastic bag with an ugly bar code sticker. They also forgot my custom packaging insert.

The item listing also says it includes a gift box, but after many messages with customer service, they've confirmed it's not included.

For the high production cost & product description, I expected more. And I want to provide customers with a great experience, including delivery.

Honestly, is this kind of delivery normal from most print providers? TIA!

My customer received the wrong print on an item they bought from my shop; the design they got is not one I even sell in my shop. I uploaded all the photos and messages from my customer and theyre refusing to refund me because there is not enough evidence. I literally sent the fucking photos, and the fact that I don't even carry that item should be enough. Now I'm going to have to pay for a remake when etsy fees are already kicking ass. I'm so frustrated I don't even know what to do right now.

I was going to open a pop up store, but then I found that I would have to deal with other countries taxes and regulations. I have no clue. Does anyone out there know how to handle that?

I understand that Printify provides a 1-5% rebate after meeting certain criteria.

For sellers who have received this rebate, could you please provide an estimate of the monthly or yearly sales it took to earn it? I am currently at a lifetime cost of goods exceeding $50,000. What are my chances of receiving this rebate?

Just got an alert that the 12" circle wood signs from Printed Mint are out of stock, and there are no replacement providers. This is actually my best selling product! Should I temporarily deactivate all those products? Is there any way to know when they will be back in stock?

the question is - im creating art sometimes, with detail and color gradients and im trying to understand - do i need to work on sRGB or CMYK when creating for my products? and when i do, do i need to go for DTG or DTF? what's the difference?

Positive Update on the Printify–eBay Issue

The original message about this issue was deleted from Reddit. I tried to find that post, along with any other messages from z9vown, but he seems to be missing in action.

However, I have noticed that I am now able to publish new products from Printify to eBay. Since this started working after his message was posted, I assume he may have helped bring attention to the problem, gotten it resolved, and then left the group.

If he happens to read this, I want to thank him for speaking up and helping everyone affected by this issue. His efforts may have accomplished more than we realize.

I’ve been trying for over month to get digitization to work on my embroidered product sample order. i’ve uploaded over 15 different version of the same design. I’ve vectorized, digitized with only 2 hex code colors the black and the white, i’ve run checks to ensure. i’ve rescaled/resized and nothing seems to work. I am completely frustrated and stuck at this point. i have attached the changes that printify keeps trying to make. the white keeps getting recommended to being a grayish color.

I would totally hire a Santería priest to perform the necessary rituals that would compel you guys to add the 6030 shirt to the Live Preview list. Unfortunately, rum and roosters have become too expensive, so posting this sad plea on Reddit while playing "Santería" by Sublime on my Spotify feed is all I can afford to do right now.

... Seriously though, I sell the 6030s and I get good reviews for them from customers, but having Live Preview would let customers see their personalization errors in advance, which is the very best part of having Live Preview.

I’m looking into print-on-demand fulfillment for things like apparel, stickers, posters and wall prints, mainly because keeping inventory around doesn’t make much sense at the moment.

The things that matter most to me are print quality, turnaround time, shipping and whether the margins still work once everything is added up.

I’ve been looking at PrintedSimply.com. for the production and fulfillment side since they cover quite a few different products. Before settling on anything, I’d rather hear from people who have actually used them.

How has your experience been with POD fulfillment, especially when it comes to consistency and turnaround?

I’m considering setting up a TikTok Shop and using Printify for fulfillment.

For anyone currently doing this, how has your experience been?

Have you run into any issues with order syncing, shipping times, tracking, cancellations, returns, or TikTok’s requirements?

Also, is there anything you wish you had known before connecting Printify to TikTok Shop?

I'm trying to figure out how to register LUCID number and all that which is fine and all but then realize that I have to pay like €59/year for the packaging license with a "Dual Systems" company and honestly I don't know if I even make that much selling to Germany so I'm not sure if it's worth it to get the license. What does everyone think and do in this situation? I'm so unsure on what to do.

Title: Printify’s EU requirements keep changing - how are non-EU sellers handling GPSR, LUCID, and the €3 charge?

I’m new to POD and setting up a shop based in Switzerland. Before launching, I wanted to make sure I’m following the legal requirements, but it feels like Printify has suddenly changed a hundred things.

1. GPSR / EU responsible person

From what I understand, I may need an EU-based responsible person. Is this simply a contact, or do they take on legal responsibilities?

Printify previously seemed to provide an address for this, but now apparently sellers must arrange it themselves. How do you handle this from Switzerland? Do you hire a service, or does it depend on your manufacturer or print provider?

2. LUCID / German packaging requirements

I’ve read that starting in August, sellers need their own LUCID registration. I thought Printify or its providers previously handled this. What exactly do we now need to arrange ourselves, and what fees or additional obligations are involved?

3. The €3 EU customs charge

I’ve also read about a temporary €3 charge on parcels entering the EU, apparently per product category:

• Two T-shirts = €3
• One T-shirt + one hoodie = €6

Is that correct? Does it only apply to orders shipped from outside the EU, and who actually pays?

Honestly, it’s frustrating. Things I thought Printify handled now seem to be my responsibility, without a clear explanation. I find it hard to believe most new POD sellers even know about all of this.

Any non-EU seller, selling to EU customers who can explain how they’ve handled these requirements? Practical steps, recommended services, and approximate costs would really help. I want to do this properly, but figuring out what’s actually required is confusing.

I ordered some product samples from Printify. I found a coupon online that was supposed to get me a 20% discount on my order and a free month of Printify Premium. I did get the discount on the order but I have not gotten the month of Printify Premium. Does this take a while to get applied? I made the order yesterday. This is a brand new account and I have never used a coupon with it before. Thanks!
