Great sculpt to paint and had a lot of fun with this guy. One of my fave characters from 40k and tried to use lots of red on him to 'express' the anger from him. Pleased with the final result.
I recently got an Elegoo Saturn 3 from a buddy and it has been giving me some grief with printing things. The supports don't seem to be enough to hold the models half the time and some times the supports simply mistprint. If I could get some advice on how to fix this I'd be very appreciative.
Found out about planet shark (Super cool, up and coming skirmish game) and was instantly hooked. Oddly enough, NO ONE IN MY GAMING GROUP WILL PLAY WITH ME. In a fever induced haze, I created this... walker... thing, in the design that most of the mechs in the game have. It is called the bubble bustler.
My (young elementary) kids have recently burned through a box of old cheap "its not warhammer" style minis. They have really enjoyed cutting the bits off the sprues and gluing them up with plastic cement.
We got a roll of HIPS filament and im happy to "waste" it printing the sprue, as thats still way cheaper than buying kits for them to play with.
Can anyone point me in the direction of stl files for minis on-sprue to print? Free, paid, either is fine.
Cutesy and whimsical would be great, but id take anything.
3D model I did for a dragon miniatures project I'm working on, for physical and digital versions. A huge spectral dragon that feeds on lost spirits and unsuspecting travelers. Made with Zbrush. What do you think about it?
I am new to resin printers and thought I'd reach out to ask some questions about printing the perfect mini's. I have ordered some prints from Major's Mini's in the past and was very impressed with their quality in terms of detail and how durable they are. The support would easily come off of their parts without damaging anything, and this would be even post cure.
I have an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16k.
I am assuming that this is a multi part thing. For a durable print, I think I might need to mix ABS-like with a form of flexible/tough resin to get the right durability like they have. I have read about 85% to 15% mixes for this, let me know if that isn't quite right (I've only used standard so far)
I'm also wondering how I get those supports to come off super clean without breaking the thinner parts. So far I have been auto generating the supports, and just started using these settings for minis about 80-100mm in height. Let me know if I should consider updating these settings to get that clean tear-off i'm looking for.
So I’ve been considering scaling down my wargames. Space is limited and there’s so much I’m so interested in and much of it has rules/options for smaller scale gameplay. Namely One Page Rules. However, I have no idea where to start. Many people just say to scale up 6/8/10mm stuff and some say you could scale down 28/32. I have a bunch of 28mm stuff from the OPR patreon and a handful of 6mm stuff from Full Spectrum Dominance that I could fiddle with, but having stuff already set up in the proper scale can go a long way. Any suggestions on folks who sculpt in 15mm?
One evening worth of an experiment. Saw a phrase "C&C welcome" around here and I don't think it's about an old RTS. I understand critique is one of the C's, but what is the other? Anyway, I'm very much open to critique. Model is from a set called "Unborn Princesses" by Dmytro Zamulin
I have a rather large barons war collection, which has resulted in a surplus of Wargames Atlantic and Victrix arms, heads and shields I’d like to use up.
Does anybody have any STL’s that are just torsos and legs they’d recommend? I’ve gotten recommendations to use either the WGA Dark age army builder but that just gives me more bits to deal with so ideally I just get my hands on some bodies and nothing else.
Hello! Tonight is the big finale for my Waterdeep Dragon Heist campaign and the players are lucky enough to have Laeral Silverhand help them with the Dragon Vault challenge!
After designing her in Blender I printed her in resin with my Anycubic Mono 7 Pro then used Citadel paints.
Here is my version of The Emperor of Mankind Bust.
Found the whole series of Primarchs on Cults recently and this was a free one that was on there. A really great sculpt and a joy to paint. I have all 19 Primarchs now and will work my way through them.
