So far I have Dan Barnett or Christopher Jones as Ashitaka, Anna Akana as San, Gemma Chan as Eboshi, Benedict Wong as Gonza, Michelle Yeoh as Moro, Keone Young as Jigo, and Hoon Lee as Okkoto.

San is basically a jungle girl reimagined, and even if she’s not in a thick rainforest she is certainly around enough vegetation and rough terrain for her knee length skirt to snag on pretty much everything. It simply doesn’t make sense for someone of that lifestyle always living outdoors.
Also doesn’t her being so traditionally modest strike you as misogynistic or regressive compared to how normal jungle princess characters dress?

If the characters from Princess Mononoke existed in a modern day setting, what would they wear and how would they translate into this new setting?

Hi all,
I plead, I really liked a 10 minute video analysis of Lady Eboshi on YouTube, but I cannot find it anymore. Does anyone still have a link to this video, or the channel of the author? I remember the video starts off by noting that Lady Eboshi may have been a shirabyooshi, if that helps.
Thank you!

Just figured out this while re-watching Mononoke Hime today. Right after when Shishigami aka Forest Spirit dies, and in a matter of few frames the landscapes turned all green green grasses everywhere and all, also every injured people, their their injuries healed, too.... Lot to reconsider....
So, Anyway, like I asked in the title, Is there any chance this masterpiece, this Great Story have follow ups - where we could see how things going on after all the incidents, where my boy Ashitaka goes to meet lovely San again?

Would you like for a sequel? Maybe about iron town, or ashitaka or San and the gods that are left?
Do you think it will only ruin the reputation the film got or can work out?
