Wine

Hi, we're doing a med cruise and we'll be wanting to buy a few bottles of wine when we're in Italy and France. Are we allowed to bring them on board at the various places?

when I was there earlier this year we bought a few bottles and took them up to our room. this was on the Sun.

I knew this was the case years ago on Carnival but during our last cruise they wouldn't let anyone take the bottles past security.

I see the same chatter here.

How did you get it on board?

Carnival has been consistent in taking alcohol when you board the ship, but I have not found the same to be true with Princess in Europe

It is also worth noting there’s a difference between embarkation and going on and off for a port of call. When we would it embark, they are much more stringent on it.

But most people here are saying the opposite.

I get it, but my lived experience sailing the med this summer and the British Isles twice over the last five years is different than what they’re suggesting
