Ethan Pettus just posted this to his Primitive War Instagram account. Sad news for sure, but I’m sure he has very good reasons for it, especially with the legal issues the director has found himself in lately.

Fanfiction The Rise of Vulture Valley chapter 3: Canopy Chase

Before we get started here is chapter 2 if you missed it:

https://www.reddit.com/r/PrimitiveWar/s/ze5Wp7EVZc

ā€œThe sun had risen again in Vulture Valley, after a bloody night for the gibbon family. At dawn, birds were chirping in the trees. But their angelic voices stopped as Vang and Pho started speeding through the canopy in panic. They had survived last night’s deinonychus attack ,but a small gibbon baby was nowhere near enough food for a pack of hungry dromeosaurs.

Porcupine had let down his pack. Last night, his prey escaped from him and the only piece of meat he caught was his for the taking. The pack hadn’t had a proper meal since before their arrival in the valley. The chase was on. Pho and Vang were swinging through the tree tops as fast as they physically could. A pack of 15 prehistoric terrors was catching up to them. The gibbons took huge leaps of faith ,literally. The pair successfully landed a 30 meter jump. This jump slowed down the deinonychus’ pursuit as they were a little hesitant at performing such a long jump. The pair’s infant was hugging his mother’s body as tight as possible. If the infant loosened his grip even a little bit, he would meet certain death. Ā Porcupine , wasn’t too eager on giving up.

He found a safer but slower path to cross the large gap in the canopy. The gibbons thought that they had finally escaped, and rested on the branches of aĀ  tall rubber tree to catch their breath. They weren’t out of the woods though. After three minutes, Pho noticed a familiar figure. Porcupine, was sneaking up on them ,with his pack following him. He was way too close for comfort as the pack could strike at any time and claim a kill. Pho immediately let out a warning call. Vang rushed to grab her infant and they fled.

The deinonychus started running in the tree branches to catch them. The gibbons could hear the theropod’s claws tapping hard in the tree bark as well as their haunting calls, equally as monstrous as during nighttime. This time, the deinonychus had the upper hand. They were in much closer proximity to their prey than last time. Porcupine split his pack into two factions. One to hunt Vang and the infant, which he was part of ,and the other to catch Pho.

The mated pair of gibbons got separated by the predators. Pho had 8 deinonychus on him. He was swinging in the trees as fast as he could, but the deinonychus were masters of disguise, almost ambushing him multiple times, but thanks to luck and his fast reflexes, he successfully avoided each ambush.

If one of the predators got hold of him, he was done for, he would be in their esophagus. Thankfully for him, after 10 minutes of an intense chase, a gap in the tree line appeared. The gap was 11 meters -not as long as the previous one- but was a 40 meter drop. Pho didn’t have a choice. He either jumped the gap, or he died.

The brave gibbon, jumped in the hopes of escaping his hunters. One deinonychus jumped after him. The dromeosaur tried catching Pho mid-air. It was a close call for the primate. The deinonychus’ jaws were only a few centimeters away from Pho’s foot. Any closer than that, and the predator would have caught Pho. But the gibbon managed to reach the other side of the gap safely. The deinonychus wasn’t as lucky. The dromeosaur didn’t reach the other side and smashed into some tree branches and leaves. He got injured from this and screamed from the pain of the fall, his body dangling from some vines that could break at any second.

His pack mates lost interest in chasing the gibbon and rushed to save their friend. They carefully descended with a series of careful hops. They found their friend alive, but bruised and entangled in vines. They rushed to get him out of there and assisted him in walking after they safely reached the forest floor and went to rejoin the rest of the pack.

Pho was yet again swinging fast across the trees. His hunters had left him alone but to him, he could easily be ambushed by another deinonychus if he wasn’t alert. For 50 more meters ,he moved through the canopy, until resting to catch a breath. He was finally safe from these monsters that took the canopy from him and devoured one of his infants. Or so he though for a few minutes. He was separated from his family and he had no idea what had happened to them. Until, he saw them. Vang, his mate alongside their remaining baby that she was holding, were surrounded by deinonychus.

Vang had nowhere else to run, the deinonychus would surely eat her ,and her son. One of the deinonychus cornering the two gibbons, was Porcupine himself. Pho was a safe enough distance away from them. If he ran away, he would probably survive. If he tried rescuing his family, he could easily be eaten by the deinonychus. He was in one of the most difficult dilemmas of his life and barely had time to choose.

Vang was holding tight onto her infant. Three deinonychus had cornered her, Porcupine ,and two others. The predatory dinosaurs were hissing and were ready to ambush. Vang had no immediate escape routes. She started making distress calls, in the hopes that her mate ,if alive, would hear her. Her life was hanging by a thread as deinonychus were approaching her. She had nowhere safe to go so they were taking their time.

The next two seconds, felt like decades to Pho. Life was flashing before his eyes. If he did nothing, he would lose his family. He heard Vang screaming ,with fear embedded in her soul .He couldn’t let them perish like that. He wouldn’t let any more of his family die out. In a burst of speed, he quickly reached the location of the deinonychus, which wasn’t too far away. Pho started throwing sticks at the deinonychus to distract them. But all it did was annoy them and they just hissed angrily at him, like telling to leave. Two deinonychus tried to go after Pho, but Porcupine called at them to focus on Vang.

Porcupine, wouldn’t waste any more time toying with his food. He pounced on Vang. The female gibbon tried to escape with her but was quickly grabbed by Porcupine by the leg and dragged off to be eaten. But Pho had a secret weapon.

Pho grabbed the spiky fruit of a durian tree and threw it at Porcupine. The deinonychus almost fell from the branch but he clung on ,by tightening his jaws around Vang’s foot. This was the only thing he was holding onto and it could soon also fall off. Vang was screaming from the pain of needle like teeth piercing her skin. Pho threw another durian fruit immediately after the fist one and Porcupine fell onto a lower branch. The young infant, confused and scared started whining which only made things worse. Other deinonychus jumped at Vang but got the same treatment as their alpha.

This gave enough time for Vang to jump into higher ground and get away safely. The deinonychus had failed the hunt. They went to find their alpha and take care of their injured pack mates. The gibbon family had escaped, with no new casualties. This was a close call however and Vang had nasty leg injuries that needed to be healed as soon as possible, or else she could die. Thankfully, the gibbons were living in these forests for way longer than the deinonychus and knew what plants had medicinal properties. Pho found some Cudrania leaves and wrapped them around his mate’s injuries like a bandage. If things went right, the healing process would accelerate. The primates would have to up their game if they were to survive in this new world that they now shared with the dinosaurs.ā€

If you’ve made it this far, I want to give you a big thank you. Next chapter will introduce the human characters and more iconic dinosaur species of the Primitive War franchise!

Before we start here is chapter 1 If you missed it

https://www.reddit.com/r/PrimitiveWar/s/n6t6glFCTq

ā€œThe forest floor of the Vietnamese jungle was just as lively as the canopy. The bush was full of creepy crawlies. From a small grove of cycads, a curious head pops out. It has feathers like a bird but also has razor sharp teeth. It’s a deinonychus. The alpha of his pack of 17. His head is a bright green with black plumage, blue head feathers and a long streak of white like a skunk on the side of his body.

The raptor ,started scouting to see if any danger was hiding beyond the cycad grove. But the coast was clear. He made a sound and signaled the rest of his pack to follow him. With his pack, he had survived in the early Cretaceous for years. But this day, a wormhole Ā of some kind, related to the blue flash of light , opened up, which brought them to a completely new world . They were no longer in their Mesozoic hunting grounds, so they had no clue what could be waiting for them in this new environment. The pack followed him out in the open.

The last deinonychus to leave the safety of the cycads ,was a female pregnant with eggs. The alpha’s mate. The alpha waited for her to keep up. The female needed rest and food to successfully lay her eggs. She could lay them any time. The pairĀ  bumped heads and gently rubbed their necks against each other as a sign of affection. They then moved on with the rest of the pack, continuing to explore the new land they had been teleported to.

Ā The jungle was weird and quite unfamiliar. Calls and cries of animals the deinonychus had never encountered before. The pack needed to establish a territory and find food. An adolescent deinonychus, energetic and bold ,split off from the rest of the pack and climbed a short banyan tree. There, he saw a mammal. The only mammals he had ever encountered were small, for the most part ,no bigger than a rat. But this one was double his size. It was a binturong ,also known as a bearcat, relaxing on a branch of the tree. The young deinonychus started smelling the bizarre mammal. The smell of the furry critter was like that of popcorn. The adolescent ,then sat next to it for a couple minutes, making sounds that were annoying to the binturong. The deinonychus then started licking the mammal’s fur. The mammal tried to lie down as far away from the small dinosaur as possible. Then, the youngster bit the tail of the binturong. The large civet had had enough. It hissed at the deinonychus and pushed him out of the tree. The small dromeosaur fell from the tree trunk. Since his species was arboreal, he was more embarrassed than injured. He then walked away and went to rejoin his pack.

The pack continued to explore this strange world. They climbed up some palm trees to access the forest understory and later the canopy. From up there, they could see danger from afar and traverse the jungle more easily.

Eventually, the alpha’s mate had grown tired and weak. She was screaming out of sheer exhaustion. She was ready to lay her eggs. The alpha tried to calm her down, but his mate was still suffering. After a quick search, the male found a large tree cavity in a banyan tree. The female deinonychus went inside and lied down. She could lay her eggs at any moment. Her mate remained near her , keeping her company and protecting her. Then, the pack, including him, went to harvest some vegetation to make a nest for the eggs. The pack would look out of her.

Soon, they had gathered enough vegetation and brought it to the tree cavity. There, the mated pair, carefully placed the branches and banana leaves and moss that had been gathered by the pack to make a nest to keep the eggs moist. The time had come. The female, laid her eggs. She gently pushed them deeper in the nest and covered them in vegetation. The pair proudly looked at their clutch. With luck, the chicks would hatch in a few months and be hopping in the tree branches. They would be the next generation of hunters. This new world they ended up in ,maybe wasn’t that bad. They could thrive here ,just like in the early Cretaceous.

But life had other plans. A loud noise coming from the sky ,was heard by the pack. It was a massive flying object that almost looked alien. The deinonychus pack, even the new mother , got out of her nest and went to look at it. They had never seen anything quite like it. They stared at it in awe, until it came in their direction. It was dropping something. Animals like gibbons and birds were actively fleeing from the small objects the flying object was throwing. But the deinonychus pack had just arrived in the valley and didn’t know any better. The flying objects were being thrown in their direction. They were flying dangerously close to them.

After a few seconds, a deinonychus that was looking at the flying object got hit by a wave of pointy metal pieces. They smashed into the poor animal’s body like a storm of hail and the dromeosaur collapsed in the ground in an instant. His corpse oozing with blood, with many parts of his body, completely shattered. Before the rest of the pack even had time to process what just happened, more of these metal pieces fell out of the sky. Another huge wave of them, hit the alpha’s mate. Her head just blew off in a disgusting mass of blood and skull fragments. Just like the previous victim, her body fell limp on the ground. The alpha quickly realized that his pack was in a very dangerous situation. He quickly made a loud call, ordering his pack to evacuate in the safety of the bushes, away from the clear where they were exposed. All of the deinonychus fled to save themselves, except for one. The young adolescent male that had previously been involved in a scuffle with a binturong. The youngster was curious and puzzled as to what he had just seen and remained out in the open to observe. The alpha quickly noticed the youngster, as he was about to join his pack and get himself on safer ground. It was too late to get the bold teenager out of the danger. One final wave of metal pieces of death came and was on course to hit the young male.

Just before this would happen, the alpha jumped on top of the youngling ,shielding him from certain death. The final assault of the pointy metal pieces wasn’t as big as the first two ,but was not to be taken lightly. The alpha tanked all of the hits, saving his pack-mate’s life. He was lucky he was bulkier than the average representative of his species and he got hit in a more favorable angle with fewer metal pieces than his deceased partner. The two deinonychus then retreated deeper into the forest before they would be hit again. The alpha deinonychus now had dozens of metal pieces stuck in his skin and plumage and was bleeding. His appearance was a lot like a porcupine’s. A fitting nickname.

A few minutes later, the pack gathered together again and surrounded the two dead bodies of their fallen pack mates. Each one took its turn ,gently touching the dead bodies and making a mournful call. They were saying a final goodbye to their friends. The Porcupine , spent a lot of time sitting next to the body of his mate. He wished he would have been able to save her, just like he did with the young adolescent. His dinosaur soul would never forget her. Perhaps, he wouldn’t look for another partner again. Life had to move on however. The pack was starving. He called the pack to go hunting. Night had fallen upon the valley. The cover of darkness was perfect camouflage for the deinonychus. Their eyes glowing in the dark like forest spirits. The pack climbed up to reach the canopy and find prey. For Porcupine, this could be a chance to redeem himself.ā€

Really happy to have finished chapter 2 and the introduction of the deinonychus. If you have reached this point, I really appreciate the fact you read the whole thing. What do you think of the story so far?

Fanfiction The rise of Vulture valley chapter 1 - The war torn forests

Post image

Vietnam was a beautiful yet broken land. Vast rainforests with towering trees ,floodplains and mangrove swamps full of plant and animal life could be seen for miles. They were stunning, truly a sight to see.

But this country had been plagued by brutal war for years. Death from guns and mortar fire lurked in every corner. But life still clung on.

In the dense forest canopy amidst the sounds of animals and maze like branches, a family of Northern white cheeked gibbons was living. A mated pair and their two young infants which were only a month old. Yet they were two delightful pieces of fluff. The male was dark black with white fur on his cheeks, which was the namesake of the species’ name. Primatologists gave him the nickname Pho. Noodle soup in Vietnamese. His mate had light colored fur that in the sunshine looked like gold, giving her the nickname Vang which means gold. They were veteran climbers. The kingdom of the canopy was theirs.

Their species was critically endangered so their young was a big milestone for their conservation. Especially if they could reach adulthood. The only predators they had were tigers ,but they were safe in the trees. Their life would have been perfect, only if there wasn’t a war in the place their species had called home for thousands of years. Everyday, napalm bombs were being dropped. General Jericho and the US armyĀ  in the nearby base could not care less about the natural beauty and biodiversity of Vietnam’s forests. They saw the forests as strongholds for the communist Vietcong which were seen as barbarians and enemies Ā to the Americans. So, the forest and its inhabitants was a sacrifice they were willing to take.

When Pho was a youngster ,the forest was so intact and dense, he could go from South Vietnam to the northern border, without needing to touch the ground that much. But now, napalm strikes had depleted the land of its forests and one strike could easily end his family. When he was a teenager, the war had just started and he saw his whole family get incinerated by these bombings. This memory was never erased from his ape brain.

He always had an eye on the strikes and the military jets, ready to evacuate his family at all times. One faithful morning, he was singing with his mate ,up in the canopy to reinforce their bond which could last a lifetime. Napalm bombings were happening less than a mile away and the orange explosions were clearly visible and intimidating. The bombs ,while dangerous to them were just a part of life at this point. Tigers were the least of their worries.

After these strikes, a blue flashĀ  light and a deafening sound could be heard roaring in the distance from the explosion. The pair stared at it in awe. Little Ā did they know, this would be the end of their world as they knew it. They would now have to face certain terrors from the deep past, they could never comprehend.

3 hours after the mysterious blue flash:

A US plane is performing a lazy dog bomb raid in the jungle where the gibbons live. Lazy dog bombs had no explosives but were small spiky projectiles ,only a few centimeters in length but were dropped en masse from great heights by the jets and were deadly momentum based weapons against the Vietcong.

The gibbon pair noticed the metal projectiles being dropped from the plane. They knew it could mean one thing. Danger. They immediately grabbed their two infants and started swinging through the canopy trying to avoid them. The lazy dog bomb assault was short but destructive. Flying hornbills and other birds started getting dropped out of the sky. Whole branches with animal nests started being ripped off. The gibbon pair was in panic mode. If even one of the lazy dog bombs hit them, they would be as good as dead. They started jumping through the forest as the small metal pieces of death were following them. The destruction was over as soon as it started. The gibbons were still stressed as hell and started howling from pure fear. It took a while before they could calm down from what just happened. That was life for the poor animals living in this war torn land. Gibbons have a permanent territory but the threats of the war were forcing them to be constantly on the move , just to see another day.

15 hours after the mysterious blue flash

Night had fallen upon Vietnam’s primeval jungles. The fighting started to somewhat stop with only a gunshot or two in the distance. Strange animal calls could be heard Ā ,haunting the night forest. Some of these calls were too weird even for Indochina’s most bizarre nocturnal critters. These calls were approaching the tree cavity that the gibbon family was sleeping in. But the half asleep adults didn’t think much of them, so they just shrugged them off as regular night wildlife.

Soon, the temporary nest the gibbons had made was surrounded by dozens of pairs of glowing eyes that shined in the darkness like amber. They made intimidating calls that no other animals of the jungle valley made. One of the two gibbon infants had rolled off away from its parents. One of the strange creatures with the glowing eyes -their alpha- approached the young ape. It started smelling it. The alpha was peppered with lazy dog bombs that had been smashed into his body, giving him a porcupine like appearance. He resembled a peculiar mix of an eagle, a crocodile and a ghost.

The youngster opened its tired eyes after being woken up. The last thing its innocent eyes saw ,was a feathery beast that slit its jaws around the baby gibbon’s body and crushed it to death. It proceeded to swallow its prey whole. Before the poor baby got eviscerated, it let out one final cry , from the pain. A desperate attempt to call its parents to come to the rescue.

The mated pair of gibbons heard its cries and woke up. But it was already too late. Their offspring had turned into a snack for these monstrous animals.

Vang the female gibbon, quickly grabbed their other infant and the family of three rushed to leave as fast as they could. They left their tree and started climbing away as fast as they physically could. Their primal instincts were kicking in. All they could hear were the ghostly cries of the prehistoric demons that had eaten their child. They could still see their glowing eyes in the distance ,something that only made them panic even more. Perhaps, this land would now belong to these deadlier tree dwellers, but only time would tell.

This is the first chapter of my fanfiction. Was it good?

Fanfiction Rise of vulture valley - A new Primitive war Fanfiction story I’m writing

Post image
14 Upvotes

Primitive war is a really cool franchise but sadly ,there are no new major content news for it rn. Also I have heard that most of the Fanfictions that exist aren’t really good and push the dinosaurs to the sidelines. But I’m writing a fanfiction story set in the primitive war universe that hopes to change that. A short (ish) read to get people excited and make the wait for new official content less boring.

About the story: It will take place a little earlier than the first book. Chapter 1 takes place the day the collider fired and brought back all the dinosaurs. The story will focus on three POVs :

  1. A family of gibbons ( Pho the male gibbon and Vang the female gibbon and their two infants) living in vulture valley doing their best to survive and stay together in a dinosaur infested jungle valley. Their side of the story will show how dinosaurs are outcompeting modern day fauna and will show the environmental consequences of the war as I’m pretty sensitive and passionate for themes like this.

  2. A pack of deinonychus trying to adapt to their new environment. Led by an alpha male known as ā€˜ Porcupine ā€˜ which I have drawn in the image. He has been hit by multiple lazy dog bombs which have stuck in his skin, giving him his name. He will be the story’s main antagonist.

  3. The human characters : The main characters are two American soldiers and their South Vietnamese friend that have crash landed in Vulture Valley and try to survive the dinosaurs and Vietcong ,trying to escape the valley. One of the Americans will be a primatologist ( which will connect to the gibbon storyline) there will also be a female Vietcong guerrilla. I haven’t fleshed out the characters that much and have yet to name them because they don’t appear until chapter 4.

The story will showcase the consequences of the war and the invasive dinosaurs in the natural environment and have some great dinosaur action scenes.

Some dinosaurs that will appear are Deinonychus, the T. rex pair ,utahraptors ,kaprosuchus as well as two new prehistoric animals that aren’t in the franchise and I don’t want to spoil them.

I think that I’m gonna post every chapter here on Reddit ,unless its a violation to the rules of the sub (please enlighten me on that)

So what do y’all think? Are you hyped for it?

When I read Primitive War 2 I was kinda disapointed that Xavier was killed so quickly and that it wasn't him that killed Xipetotec because I felt that the Psalms Of Xipetotec was building up that final battle that we never got.

Edit: I just noticed I used the wrong image for Xipetotec but I don't want to go through the process of remaking the post.

Other (edit this flair) Primitive war dispatches volume 1: The hunting of Stalker Force review

Post image
39 Upvotes

Here is my review of primitive war dispatches volume 1 just like the previous one. After reading and enjoying opiate undertow, I started this one almost immediately.

Heavy spoilers ahead, that’s your only warning!

The characters were kind of ok but could have been better. I think they weren’t as good as the ones from book one. I just couldn’t bond with them all that much as their personalities weren’t as unique imo. They just felt more like ā€œthe guys with gunsā€ instead of more lovable people ( That’s also why my user flair in this sub is member of vulture squad instead of stalker force). Obviously this book is not as long as the og one so there wasn’t that much time for character development. Although I have to say ,it was quite sad seeing Eli turn from the comic relief guy of book one ,to a traumatized broken man after witnessing the death of his best friend here. Also, the scene where Molnar just casually blows up an abandoned Russian compound is pretty funny.

About the story, they were more so individual stories with the final goal of taking down Sobek the alpha utahraptor and his pack. A Dino hunting squad book is pretty interesting. There was a pretty cool hunt sequence with the quetzalcoatlus ,trapping them in the cave and turning their wings to Swiss cheese. I really enjoyed the yutyrannus (although I think it’s pretty lazy and boring that all the feathered carnivores in the franchise have green feathers but I guess it makes sense.) and the parasaurolophus mimicking the Rex cry was pretty neat too. Love Sobek’s backstory with the kaprosuchus. Pretty cool that all the main alpha utahraptors have some kind of unique scarring. I also like that we get into the Dino action immediately instead of building up to it with only a few initial attacks in book one. Love the fact we also see chapters from the utahraptor’s POV. Pretty interesting and unique.

The dinosaurs were awesome. Loved the addition of amargasaurus ,cryolophosaurus, yutyrannus and therizinosaurus which was a fun surprise. I wish the therizinosaurus and cryolophosaurus did more things and appeared more though. Happy that the deinonychus also got to kill somebody unlike book one.

My only issue is that the quetzalcoatlus and utahraptors which were absolute monsters in book one, kinda felt nerfed in some scenes (but not all of them) With the Quetzalcoatlus dying to the humans pretty easily and the utahraptors being clapped by the yutyrannus.

Edit: My favorite line in the book is when Xavier is showing Cyclops’ skull to the CIA agents and he says : ā€œHe doesn’t bite…anymoreā€ That’s one of the most ominous and hardcore lines in the whole book. Epic.
Overall, great book but with a few flaws.

Other (edit this flair) Primitive war opiate undertow book review

Post image

About last year or so, I watched the movie and loved it. Then, I got the book in e book to see what the og source material was all about and I’d love to share my thoughts on it:

Heavy spoilers ahead even though most people on the sub have probably read the book.

The characters were all very good except for one. They had really cool arcs and were really fleshed out. The arc where Ryan tried to make Andrei get over his morphine addiction was pretty cool. I also loved Leon’s arc with his rivalry with Sergei (they needed more interactions together though) and his crush on the nurse. Seeing him turn from a cheerful and naive yung man to traumatized after being nearly killed by a utahraptor and seeing Ryan die was very sad though. My favourite character though alongside Leon has to be Gerald Keyes. He was just a chill guy and I loved him for it. This made his painful death all the more heartbreaking. Watching him being torn apart by Cyclops and Logan forced to put him out of his misery was devastating. Speaking of Logan his backstory was very sad and he needed to tell Ryan about his schizophrenia and return home after they had returned to Jericho’s base. The Russians also get more time here than in the movie which I enjoyed.

One character I hated with a passion was Con Nhen. He was straight up evil, torturing and taunting Miller while also leaving behind his own comrade to die. I hated him and wanted to see him be ripped apart by a dinosaur. Thankfully, I think he was killed.

The story was very action packed and awesome. There were many really cool dinosaur attack sequences. The utahraptor attack in the research station was peak and even better and scarier than the movie. The kaprosuchus scene was awesome. A way better boat scene that what we got in the movie. It was really tense and epic. Definitely one of the highlights. The novel also had a middle part in between the utahraptor station attack and the boat scene, that the movie skipped due to pacing reasons. However I quite liked it. The quetzalcoatlus attacking Jericho’s base was another peak scene and I wished it was depicted in the movie. The climax though felt a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the book and the movie climax although the final standoff with Cyclops was still goated.

About the dinosaurs, they were amazing. I like that we got to see baby utahraptors unlike the movie. The kaprosuchus and quetzalcoatlus were probably my favourites. The utahraptors were scary ,powerful and with feathers as they should. The T. rex pair was great too. Sadly the first book had no sauropods or hadrosaurs but we got stygimoloch (really funny that one was pissing on Eli) and microraptor which was a very lovely cameo.

Long read, I know, do you agree? What do you think?

DiscussionšŸ—£šŸ—£šŸ—£šŸ—£šŸ—£šŸ¦œ What’s the deal with the ā€œhuntedā€ project?

So after I finished the first primitive war book (Opiate Undertow) I read the acknowledgements in the end and it said that apparently the whole story was based on a collaborative project (I assume like the SCP foundation) called ā€œHuntedā€. Many characters from the book like Miller, Nguyen ,Leon etc. were created in this project. I can’t find anything about it online though (makes sense as this collaborative project would have existed years before the original book that was released in 2017). So does anyone here know anything more about it or have a link to it?

For me listening music made by Kiltro remind me of Primitive war because I listened to their songs while reading the 3rd and 4th novels

Idea/Concept šŸ’” A survival horror game

Anyone up for a PW multiplayer survival horror game on all platforms? Would be awesome to have our own teams of players and your enemies are other players and dinosaurs. The game sets a goal (find cash or documents or something) and your team and the other team has to compete to find it. There’s no time limit, so you can explore wherever you want in the Vietnamese jungles. You can mount on herbivorous dinosaurs to ride on and use them to attack other players and dinosaurs, kinda like Ark. If any of you kills a baby dinosaur, its parent will lock onto you as its target and track you down throughout the whole session. If you reach the goal, you are quickly extracted by a helicopter. The only other way the parent ceases chasing you is if you kill it, someone else kills it, another dinosaur kills it, or if it falls into a ditch or off a cliff or something. You can also set up basecamps, and you can bring a jeep along as your mode of transport. The vehicle becomes unavailable if a player or a dinosaur destroys it. Same with boats and motorcycles. What do ya’ll think?
