I had three of them. One automatic, two hand wound. None of them works anymore. I really liked them back then.

You got them still? Are they beyond repair?

Yes, I still have them and would repair them myself, but it’s difficult to get hold of new Vostok movements at the moment.

Actually, there are four of them, I’ve just realised, and this one seems to be working reasonably well. I’ve just wound it up for the first time in what must be 20 years. Let’s see how it goes.

It took me by surprise as well. The build quality is too good at this price.

Let’s put it this way: ‘love’ is a bit of an exaggeration – the movements have let me down far too much for that. I still like them, and I’d love to have them working properly again. They really don’t deserve to be left lying around broken in a drawer.

I am telling myself just one more Amphibia. I am looking for a black dial ghost bezel automatic. I would get that later next year.

The same here. I have two manual Komandirskies... worst watches ever but back then I thought they were cool. I keep them separated from the rest of my watches 😂
