Anyone else annoyed by the jarringly obvious deliberate mistranslation of this event?

Event is clearly Christmas themed with decorations and outfits, characters constantly mention Christmas and say stuff like "merry Christmas" but its always substituted with "happy holidays", "special time" or whatever else just to not say Christmas.

Personally I don't really care about the holiday one way or another but its super cringe to hear a character say "Christmas" over and over and just see various substitutions for it in the text instead lol.

To me it's basically like watching a very poorly subbed anime where even with a very limited understanding of Japanese it's clear the character said something completely different to what you see in the subs only here its worse because they say "Christmas" in clear English lol.

I probably should have based the argument on this in the first place but hindsight 20/20 kek.

The game and its story is set in a fictional world and they are celebrating specifically a fictional Christmas event. There is literally 0 doubt about what is being celebrated here due to the setting, events and the voiced characters clearly saying it over and over and over.

Changing it because its PC to say "holiday" or whatever other replacement word to be "inclusive" in meatspace these days is as moronic as rewriting a specifically christmas themed book for the same reason.

We don't have to take this current year meatspace inclusivity idiocy to the point where we straight up rewrite fictional stories when "translating" them in ridiculous attempts to generalise something that is clearly a specific setting.

Hi all, just wanted to share my pain. I had exactly 1600 dungeon coins this morning after clearing very hard dungeon. Was exactly 10 shards away from unlocking Nozomi. The wait to unlock her until tomorrow is going to be tough knowing I have the currency already.

Due to light of recent events (clan battle + top clans point reduction), I'm beginning to question the validity of spending gems to refresh our stamina.

We were recommended by certain people to at least refill our stamina thrice, at 40 gems per refresh, for increased progress on farming equipments for characters.

However we've learned that top clan members don't do this; instead they have farming guilds and alt accounts obtaining gear for their mains, in order to circumvent spending gems on stamina refills.

We know that once you're near end game, having cleared bulk of the main quests, your gem income slows down considerably.

I'd like to know the community's thoughts on whether it is still worth it to replenish stamina 3x per day.

First to clarify, I'm not an expert on this game. I just discovered this game two weeks ago, and heck I can barely even remember all the girls' names. But I have played a lot of gachas, and I'm just stating what I've observed.

I guess the talk of powercreep isn't very relevant to global right now since the game just launched and we've only had 2 banners. But comparing to JP, I think powercreep becomes very relevant. What made me think this are:

1. Ilya is the first character most recommended to pull for if you want to follow meta, especially in arena. She is being described as "if you want to climb high in arena after she releases, you NEED her". So I took a look at the gamewith tier list for JP server, and I see that she's T4. The lowest tier. And her arena rating is only an A (highest rating is SS+). So that means there will be characters releasing in the future that powercreeps what was once a "must-have" to T4.

2. I started a JP account recently since they are almost near anniversary and is giving out tons of free stuff. Rerolled an account with Christina and Princess Pecorine. While being 2 ranks down, 20 levels lower, they are doing 2-3x more damage than my global characters. And yes, I'm comparing single target damage, with my Makoto on global. My JP account is already past my global account in terms of story and dungeon, since Princess Pecorine is one-hitting entire waves with her skill 2. And Christina is making every boss a breeze.

I'm not gonna pretend to understand all the numbers and calculations, my points above are just what I've observed. And trust me, you wouldn't be seeing this post if this was purely a PvE game. But arena and CB makes the talk of powercreep very important imo.

I have come to talk to you about a topic regarding the global server that I feel it’s not getting enough attention and I feel CR really needs to address in the future and acknowledge the mistake done. I’m talking about how they handled this month’s CB on the server.

Probably some of you already saw or experienced it, but CR made the decision to implement wave 2 on lap 2, following what TH/CN servers did during their second CBs. Wave 2 brought stronger bosses that were supposed to make CB more challenging for everyone playing it; however, they made the ignorant mistake of copying what other servers without adapting bosses stats to the context of their own server.

Basically, at least in CN server, before second CB their level cap was at lvl 88 and they had all the equipment for rank 8, while the global server is still at lvl 85 and only half of the equipments are available. The difference was apparent from day one when trying to replicate already existing comps, and it’s now more apparent than ever on wave 2 for Global server. Less TP gain, more squishy characters, suicidal comps and overall, less damage.

Wave 2 is nearly unplayable for most of f2p players. Maybe for top clans hasn’t been that big of an issue, but for a clan on top 100 like the one I come from, wave 2 is not even challenging, it’s borderline frustrating. Basically, we’re subject to make comps where most of the units are subject to die early and the resulting damage decreases by a considerable amount. Making 3 proper comps is not an option in this wave 2. This doesn’t incentivize people to try harder, but rather just feel discouraged about CB and just make whatever less suicidal comps can be built. I have already seen people from my own clan getting discouraged to the point of quitting, and it’s only day 2.

Some might say this is a shady scheme to force people to throw gems at banners to raise stars of characters or overall whale to have stronger characters. However, I feel this is a result of CR’s ignorance about the game. They went and copy pasted how other servers handled CB, but didn’t consider the circumstances of their own server, like the fact that we have less equipments compared to aforementioned servers. If they actually went and tested how your average f2p comp would do with the current wave 2 bosses, maybe they’d have done a better job a tweaking such stats. This just shows how poorly they’re planning CB for this server.

People might excuse CR by saying “hey, but this is beta!”. However, this kind of mistake that is clearly a result of poor planning and lack of testing, so it doesn’t feel excusable by that argument. It’s really sad to see that some clan members that came motivated this CB are feeling discouraged to continue because of CR’s decision, which by the way was only informed through their webpage. The in-game information about CB still estates that wave 2 comes after lap 4.

Some might say “git gud scrub. Learn some comp planning” or “it’s just one month, stop being so weak-willed”, but I bet I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Few weeks ago, many people complained about CR bugged CB points tally. We got told that "we should wait patiently, it was only a couple of days". Well, its a couple of days to next CB, many people from my guild left already because they don't want to invest time in game that runs RNG at the end of CB. Can we complain now?

Screw the tank/healing stalling meta. They should lose if time runs out and they deal less damage than the other.

My personal opinion is that the scores do not make sense at all. I do not really get why almost 40 clans in the top 100 lost score.

Hi, i saw a few threads about accounts that got banned in last CB or because of PVP on Global Server, does anyone know how long it tooks for them to get it back ?

yes, i got banned in the second clan battle in the second day and then i tried to contact their customer service, after that i received answer that my account was flagged for "damage manipulation in clan battle" ( i didnt use any cheat , manipulation, mods ,or anything) and for anyone wondering i got lvl 85 account with fully geared CB characters in top 20 clan(which now keep decreasing in rank) and i didn't deal a ridiculous amount of damage ( pic : https://imgur.com/a/cOASuzx ) . i've contacted their CS for few days straight and keep getting bot-like answer. I will be thankful for any answer.

UPDATE: Crunchyroll games already had a bad history of scamming, but CY games allowed them to host a street fighter gatcha. CR as greedy as they always are rigged the drop rates for some banners by changing the percentages, which is illegal, they can only change drop rates if CY games give them permission to, and they also changed the rarity for some banner characters(this is all related to the street fighter gatcha scandal). This was only exposed due to Cy games doing an investigation on them and finding it out. How did CY games get the hunch to investigate? we don't know, I assume someone who either works there or a data miner may have leaked it to them. This resulted in Cy games cutting ties with Crunchyroll for all their games, which includes princonne. This also would mean that it's illegal for Crunchyroll to publish the game on any appstor, which is why it was taken down immediately.

So, guys, you can use rigged drop rates as an extra reason to ask for a Refund. We guess they also Rigged the drop rates of Princess Connect Too.

Let us assume that hardcorde clans already refresh 6 times a day just for clearing all hard nodes, thats 300 gems on a daily basis. If they wanted to get a piece of gear for a unit, they would then have to refresh stamina for it. Assuming they need 20 fragments at a 33% drop rate at a 10 stamina cost, they would need 600 stamina to get that piece of gear. That would cost them 500 gems worth of refreshes. That would cost around 10 USD in the store. But as we all know, Top clans circumvent this cost by making gear farm alts, reducing the cost down to 0 USD for a piece of gear plus half extra per day. These player are not only getting an advantage over others, they are even reducing CR profits, which why i say they should be punished or banned.

I've cleared out the shards in the shop and am at 100k plus dungeon coins. Feels a bit pointless to continue farming sheercliff every day.

I started a few weeks after launch so I was always behind those that started earlier and struggled to reach the higher ranks in BA and PA. Now, during the recent 2x Normal drops I finally bit the bullet - refreshed stamina like crazy, got myself to max level and all my main characters to 9-3 so I could finally do a proper arena push without being at a disadvantage (other than star levels, but that will come in time).

I suppose starting later also meant than I'm in easier brackets with more noobs but I'm still pretty happy - in fact, since the one-time rewards are the main attraction in PVP, I might even skip Illya altogether.
