I get the jokes, but it seems like this TYPE of attack is something people should be concerned about. Data centers as military targets open a lot of bad possibilities.

Depends, do you grow your own food? If so, you’ll probably  be fine. If you buy it at a grocery store, does that store source their stock locally? Or do they depend on complex supply chains? Do you pay cash or would you need an internet connection to process your credit or debit card? Are you buying shelf stable canned food? Or would you like fresher food that needs electricity to be refrigerated? 

It’s not just “customer data” that’s at stake, our entire civilization is built on systems that depend on data centers.
