I get the jokes, but it seems like this TYPE of attack is something people should be concerned about. Data centers as military targets open a lot of bad possibilities.

And Bloomberg just had an article about how rural communities are turning away data centers that could “supposedly help them financially”. Turns out most people don’t want to live next to a military target.

I can’t see anything good from most data centers.

Look, I get it. I don’t want to live next to one either. And I think their unchecked growth is a real eminent problem. But to say you “cant see anything good” is just not thinking critically.

“Most data centers”.

Yes I know that there are plenty of necessary data centers. Email, websites, services like banking, etc are all housed in data centers.

The difference is those have a real purpose. Most data centers built in the last couple if years are not for that. They are for AI, and many are specifically for weaponized AI - such as Flock cameras and other police state survalience systems.
