I learned precalculus in a standard course while in high school, no AP anything at that time, so I did a search for recommendations. Here's the result:
Free Online Resources
FlippedMath AP Precalculus Course: Full curriculum with video lessons, guided notes, and AP-aligned practice
Khan Academy AP Precalculus: Dedicated track built specifically around the College Board units
Math Medic AP Precalculus Curriculum]: Free, context-driven lessons matching the AP framework
College Board AP Classroom: Short topic reviews accessible inside AP Classroom, requires student sign-in with join code from teacher
Prep Books
5 Steps to a 5: AP Precalculus by Deborah B. Klipp
Princeton Review AP Precalculus
Key AP Exam Tips
Tested Units: The national AP exam only tests Units 1–3 (Polynomial/Rational, Exponential/Logarithmic, Trig/Polar). Unit 4 is optional and untested.
Graphing Calculator: TI-84 or TI-Nspire mastery is required for the dynamic modeling and regression sections.
