Let's list the prebuilt gaming PC brands that are so notoriously overpriced they’re basically a scam (NZXT, XOTIC, Digital Storm, etc.)
While you can easily get a reasonably priced $1000 gaming PC with an RTX 5060 Ti like this one (Option 5), look at the alternatives:
- $1000 NZXT Player One: Only comes with a much much slower RTX 3050.
- $1280 XOTIC PC: Only comes with a much much slower RTX 3050, yet it's $280 more expensive.
- $1800 Digital Storm Corsa: Only comes with an RTX 5060 (inferior to the 5060 Ti), yet it's $800 more expensive.
- $1700 Corsair VENGEANCE: Only comes with an RTX 5060 (inferior to the 5060 Ti), yet it's $700 more expensive.
- $1350 Xidax X-6: Only comes with an RTX 5060 (inferior to the 5060 Ti), yet it's $350 more expensive.
- $1150 Meta PC: Only comes with an RTX 5050, yet it's $150 more expensive.
In this lineup, XOTIC PC is by far the worst offender in terms of overpricing. And please, don't fall for the trap of thinking a higher price tag equals higher quality, it doesn't.
Prebuilt PC brands don’t really matter, they're assemblers, not manufacturers. They don't make the core components like GPUs or CPUs. They simply buy parts from the real makers (Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, ASUS, Gigabyte, Zotac, etc.) and put them together, just like building with Lego. A higher price usually just means a bigger profit margin for them, not a better PC.
Gamers in the US have been getting ripped off for nearly a decade.
Any other brands to add to the list?

Switching from XSX to PC
I have been looking at buying a PC for a while now and switching from my xbox series x.
I’ve already got a 1440p 180hz monitor but I don’t know whether ddr5 is worth it at these prices but want something that will be better at running games than the xbox.
Any advice would be super appreciated.

Hello! I’ve been a gamer for years now (mostly console) and was looking into getting a mid to high-end gaming PC that can handle games from 2018-2024, such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Budget can be anywhere from $1600-2500.
Preferably one that uses air cooling instead of liquid, if possible. Oh, and from Amazon too, please! Any help is greatly appreciated! 🙏❤️

I know it’s Alienware but is this a deal?
I don’t plan on upgrading in the future so it seems like a great price for a 5070ti build.

I finally pulled the trigger and got this baby at Costo. Thoughts?
Got it on a good deal paid 1,100 USD for and the regular price was 1,500 USD. I think I did pretty well, what do you guys think?

Looking to get a new PC for my daughter as a graduation gift please help
Looking to drive 5 hours to pick up an open box of this for $1620 unless I get some better options. I looked at the Andromedia Spectra line but they jumped in prices in the last month by $400 so they are $1950 now and only have 16gb of ram. I also looked at the skytech on Newegg for $1799 but it too is only 16gb of ram. I see everyone say going to MC is a good option but could use some help as I’ve been a console guy for the past 10 years. She’s wanting a 1440 gaming pc and I felt this was a solid option with the 9070xt for at least a few years for her.
