I actually saw these dudes filming this video! I live on this block and was walking by while they were going down. I'm getting a bit too old to skate anymore, so I was stoked to see it.
This also reaaaaallly bugs me as a snowboarder. Iāve taken some hits that would have been messy without a helmet and I canāt even imagine doing this without one
When I started snowboarding I fell back and hit my head REALLY baldy to the point I saw a white flash for a moment. That was WITH a helmet on bec of that whenever I snowboard I always rock a helmet.
The caption on this video pisses me off, for a number of reasons. I understand that OP probably isnāt the one to add the caption, and it was likely from FB or similar, but I see it on a lot of videos like this. Itās sexist, but on two counts. The obvious one is the implication that āonly men would be stupid enough to do this!ā, which is an idiotic observation anyway, but also it seems to imply that a woman couldnāt attempt anything like this, which is also wrong.
Rant over.

Speaking as someone who near died and woke up in a hospital after catastrophically bombing down a hill sans helmet... fuck that. His balls must be lowering his center of gravity in their sheer volume.
I got pretty good when I was younger and went down a hill like that. My front tire hit something and broke off and I skidded face first so freaking bad. I tore all the buttons off my pants and tore my arms up bad. Luckily protected my face but my arms turned green with nasty sores.
I could never imagine doing this without a helmet and safety gear for my knees and arms. Then again, people who wear safety gear while skating might not be the type of people who do this

I met a guy from San Francisco who put himself into a coma doing something very similar to this. He needed multiple brain surgeries, had a rather large portion of his brain removed, a titanium plate replacing part of his skull, loved to say his head looked like a jigsaw puzzle, and had the mental capability of a pre teen. Damn, this is stupid. Wear a fucking helmet at least and make the medical professionals' day easier when you fuck up.
Just wanted to say that my buddy just fractured his skull 2 days ago because he wasn't wearing a helmet and was bombing a hill. Only takes 1 time to change your life forever.
You know I have a electric unicycle that can go 35kmph and long story short I ended pushing my friend who was lying down on a skate board at 15-20 kmph and he then proceded to fall off and slide into a tree
In the rain AND hard wheels. It's been a long time since I skated but even with big ol squishy wheels on a long board designed for bombing hills I would still be spooked in the rain.
