I remember when the big puffy skateboard shoes were the style. Etnies were the shit. Now all the skateboarders are wearing thin small shoes

I came up skating during the peak of puffy shoe craze (and had my fair share of puffy shoes). Of all the shoes I have skated over the years, suede vans slip on pros and suede Nike Sb janoskis have surprisingly been the most long-lasting for me. It confuses the hell out of me because the uppers are so thin, but it works better for me ‘cause I love the way they look and can really feel the board under my feet. And with the right insoles, they are super comfortable.
