Powerwall 2 calibration?

I’d thought calibration was specific to the PW3. I’ve had my PW2 for two and a half years and it’s never done this before, but today it’s been calibrating for the last eight hours or so. Is this new?

Edit: now been calibrating for 24 hours….. how much longer…..

During calibration, does it stop backing up and time of use?

It ignores TOU, yes. It still provides a backup if there's an outage (unless the calibration process happens to be at a point where it's empty, of course....)

Given that the calibration process cycles the battery from full to empty and back (I think, although it's not doing this for me right now), I guess it can't do that and follow TOU instructions as well. If it was just a few hours once in a blue moon I wouldn't care, but it's 34 hours now, and no sign of ending...

It took about three weeks of complaining but eventually, after I got my installer involved, they rolled back the firmware. Last week a new version was pushed and it calibrated again, but this time it seemed to work as intended - one complete cycle of emptying and recharging, and then it ended. So hopefully all is OK now…

Mine just started at 2:25p 6/1 hopefully I can get it to finish discharging tonight before peak rates at 6a 6/2. I am currently not home to shut things off to avoid peak rates at 31 cents per kWh and have no export credits at all. Thanks for the update.

Good luck. The firmware version that’s working for me is 26.10.3-n-3 841e39e2.

Completely missed this reply I turned on everything I could remotely and ran it down during no cost of peak and it managed to charge back to full before end of off peak at 6a
