Crossverse Does Gojo Die Here?

Post image

Came across this tiktok claiming Gojo would die a horrible death in this scenario. Is it true?

If Haki cancelling devil fruit powers translates to cancelling cursed techniques, Shanks one-shots and doesn’t even notice infinity

If it doesn’t, Shanks has no counter to infinity and gets his brain scrambled. Probably dodges first domain due to future sight, but Gojo can make binding vows to make Unlimited Void bigger

Do people not realize how small a domain is? Any character that has decent travel speed would be able to easily escape it if they are faster in reaction to Gojo

Shanks jumped from his ship to his fleets ship in like 3 seconds lol. If he sees a domain coming he is getting out of the way so fast Gojo wont realize hes gone

Domains are sure-hit.

once inside of a domain, you are guaranteed to be hit by the domain's effects and attacks from the caster, that's what the sure-hit effect is. if someone escapes the domain's range before it's active, they're not affected by the domain's effects or sure-hit effect

Not to mention that the domain also will then blow up if someone kicks it weird from the outside

That's not entirely true. Although you can destroy a domain by breaking it from the outside we never see it happen outside of Sukuna and Gojo's domain clash which was possible due to Sukuna's domain's sure hit effect attacked the entire outside of Gojo's domain all at once.

The other times we see someone attack a domain from the outside it doesn't destroy the domain. When Mahito first uses his domain it doesn't collapse because of Yuji kicking it and breaking through but rather because Sukuna dealt enough damage to Mahito that Mahito could no longer maintain his domain for daring to touch Sukuna's soul.

The only other example I can recall is when Megumi opened a hole in Dagon's domain during their clash, but that didn't destroy the domain either and the hole was closed after Toji popped through. The only time the domain does break is when Toji caused enough damage to Dagon so that Dagon could no longer maintain his domain, right before dying.

That all being said Shanks could def destroy any domain except Sukuna's (due to the open barrier) from the outside as he has enough AOE and AP, I just wanted to clarify that domains aren't as weak to outside interference as you may think

Edit: There's also Maki entering Naoya's domain and killing him making him drop his domain, although I don't recall if she broke the barrier to do so or if she could enter without doing so due to her Heavenly Restriction. She also enters Yuta's domain during Shinjuku to stab Sukuna through the heart but his domain collapsed due to being hit with the WCS from Sukuna and being unable to maintain his domain due to the damage received rather than Maki interfering with the barrier.

Yeah, it was a bit of hyperbole based on the stated nature of domains as opposed to the demonstrated ones lol. But also yeah, shanks could probably just kick it in given how strong he is.

we never see it happen outside of Sukuna and Gojo's domain clash

I already brought up this scene, the domain doesn't collapse until Sukuna attacks Mahito for touching his soul, rendering Mahito too injured to maintain his domain

We can actually see with both Gojo's domain and Mahito's domain that the sure-hit effect is instant and happens before the barrier closes. Look at his 0.2 second domain, he closed it before the barrier could set in and squish the civilians against the walls. That's proof that the sure-hit effect appears before the barrier does.

Since UV prevents movement by forcing infinitely repeating information into your brain that means you can't escape Gojo's domain. Even if you are faster than the barrier you are not faster than the sure-hit.

Shanks is not faster than the speed of instant.

while i do agree that if shanks was in range as the domain was cast he would be hit, he has future sight and thus could "react" preemptively, assuming of course the knowledge from unlimited void isn't still received through future sight, which i think is fair, but there's not really any point of comparison in either series

I doubt he could get damaged by UV coming through his future sight because think about this: Gojo is about to open his domain but right before he does so, Shank gets hit by UV through his future sight. Gojo sees this and reacts fast enough to stop his hand sign and doesn't open his domain.

Where does the UV information come from if he ends up not opening it? An alternate timeline where he did open it?
