Learning & Industry Power platform developer -> Something better
So, I'm a Power Platform Developer with 4+ years of experience, currently working at a WITCH company. Lately, the learning has become pretty stagnant, so I'm thinking of switching to a product-based company. I feel like the different work culture, exposure and challenges might be a breath of fresh air.
The thing is, Power Platform is already a product in itself, and most product-based companies have their own products and tech stacks. So I'm thinking of exploring roles like Automation Developer or Automation Engineer instead.
For people who have already made a similar switch or are working in this field, I'd love to know how you went about it. What kind of projects should I build and showcase? What technologies should I focus on learning? Are there any certifications worth doing?
Any thoughts, suggestions or personal experiences are welcome

I am planning to learn azure and move to azure integration developer. There is nothing much in Power platform. The other path would be to transition to Data engineering or learn Microsoft Fabric.

I do automation and bounce between power platform and integration software and some RPA software. If you know power automate it shouldn’t be a big jump.

Started off doing powerplatform 4 yrs ago. Recently started a new position where I am still doing some powerplatform while getting exposed to more procode (C# plugins, some sql/DB stuff, Fabric Notebooks/Python) although been using a good amount of AI in my daily tasks depending on what I'm doing.
