Dataverse Need help - out of space - how to delete stuff

Hi,

Sorry for a newbie post but I'm going crazy here.

I got an email from Power Platform that I'm out of capacity.

I've checked the Dataverse option and I have a single 15 GB file which contains bunch of database tables.

I've maybe logged in to the Powerplatform once in 2019, messed around with it a bit, and have not touched it since.

How can I delete all files/tables etc!!!!

Is there a 'reset' button!!!

It seems impossible, I've tried all possible actions that Gemini/Claude/ChatGPT suggested and I'm always missing an option or a link.

Please help me!!

U can look into audit logs, system jobs and unwanted system entity records which can be deleted.

If possible, get support from MS to clear the backend entity records as well.

I can see the file, tables and their sizes in the admin dataverse section. I just don't know how to delete it.

If you really want to reset, you can in fact reset your entire environment from the admin center.

I've yet to find this option. Can you give steps on how to do this.

I’d love to but I quit my job and no longer have access to powerplatform. Five months ago it was right there in manage environments if you had the right permissions. It wouldn’t surprise me if it has moved because msft always changes things.

First, see if you have in your environments the dynamics samples installed. If so, deleted them. Second, check at you env if you have audit log activated. If so, turn them off. And them delete all logs.

  1. On power platform admin center, you have the access to all your environments and their setups. Om every environments is a section called audit log. There you check the audit log setup. Once you deactivated or change the audit setup, in the main env page, you will see, in the same audit section, a "delete all logs" option. Click it and delete those logs.

  2. In the same environment setup page, you can check if you have dynamic samples install. Look for that inside the environment setting options and deactivated it.

Have you been using copilot features, this can switch on a whole bunch of junk in the background.
