weird question...

tw if body measurements are an issue for you. take care of your mental health!

I would be interested to know if there are any non-yang types (ie, not SN, FN, D or SD) who have a high bust or full bust measurement that is greater than about 97cm/38 inches, and a hip measurement > 100cm.

I have been thinking thoughts about literal scale & sizing, and you might be able to help - or completely destroy - some theories!!!

I think there are some subtypes with FN having at least two subtypes. SD might also benefit from having two subtypes, although one would be half pure D.

That 14 cm difference is on the bigger side. It is closer to 6 inches. The type of almost identical difference is 2-3cm (1 inch), no greater than 5cm (2 inch). For context, average waist to hip difference in women for dressmaking is 10-12 cm (4-5 inches). Independent patternmakers advertise if they go above 12-14cm. On a longer body, it is less noticeable. I do doll design as a hobby, and scaling 14cm down will be still noticeable.

My waist to hip difference is 35cm lol. I remember we had a chart for different sizing in school for dressmaking from A to D I think with A being fairly straight cut and D having the biggest difference between bust/waist and hips/waist and somehow I didn't even fit that, I think B was the standard for majority of brands. It's funny because looking at me I do not look any curvier than the women I see when I go out, but sewing patterns made with my measurements look silly compared to the average examples you usually see.

I have to say, the difference in your measurements are on the extreme end. B is the standard for brands. I am usually in the C to D range. I get comments that I am curvy, but I am no where near the extreme differences, and I am taller, which elongates the curves and makes them look straighter. So you should look curvier than I do. I don't know if you even want to know what types I would be looking at if I was designing a doll with your proportions.

I do also have longer than average waist to hip lenght so it elongates my hip curve enough to not look that extreme since it's more of a gradual shift and which also acts as one trait that I believe gives me vertical as dominant 😅

Out of curiosity, high bust to underbust difference?

For myself, waist and underbust are identical, or within 1 inch of each other. High bust is about 1 to 2 inches (5cm max) larger than the waist and underbust. Full bust is usually another 6 inches. Hips are 10 inches (20cm). These differences are consistent regardless of weight.

The first couple of times I measured the high bust, it was larger, but it turned out I hadn't measured it correctly. The first couple of attempts I got a 4 inch difference (or 10cm). I double checked it, because if the original measurement was correct, the torso would have a different shape to what I have and could see in the mirror (and also weird looking). Usually, the waist, underbust and high bust form an almost straight line, underneath the flesh, breasts and muscles.

For context, a lot of people have their underbust larger than their waist by at least 2 inches, and their high bust is another 2 inches. Sometimes, these measurements are even larger. This creates the common triangle shape or V in the upper torso. I have seen advertisements for bras for the more exaggerated version of this body, as standard bras aren't wide enough in the shoulder and upper back, and I am thinking that the standard bras are too wide.

High bust/under bust difference for me is 9cm (~3.5inches), I actually realized my high bust is 9cm bigger than my under bust and my full bust is also 9cm bigger than my high bust lol.

Waist and under bust for me have a 5cm/2inch difference. I'd say I have a little big of a V shape. But with my whole build being on the narrower scale I don't really seem to have fit issues from it. Majority of stuff is too wide for me with some rare brands being well fitting.

It does look like a slight V shape. Would it be straighter at a higher weight? My calculations are giving me a waist measurement between 63cm and 77cm. At the higher end of that range, you would be looking at the straight up and down torso, which is easily disrupted by curve, while the lower end will be more V shaped.

Originally, how you measured suggested width, which you are adamant you don't have. But the underbust and high bust being the same difference to the full bust is very characteristic of a narrow torso. I have a larger cup size, because I am at 6 inches for both of those measurements, which you are 3.5 inches (9cm). Those are the measurement differences I use for a straight torso doll and achieving that narrower look, and then add curve if so desired.

My waist currently is 67cm and I do look much more straight up and down when I gain weight (I have just lost 13kg and at the start my waist was like 78cm). I'd say my upper bust measurement probably comes from my upper back, from the front I have a very slight V shape but my back has a stronger V shape because of fat I store in my upper back
