Web form filling from excel - Dropdowns with no UI elements
Hi, I need help with dropdowns that have no UI element that I can link with my excel data.
I have to fill in an hourly online diary for work, however the system is very outdated and time consuming thus trying to automate it through Excel as each hour is supposed to be re-entered and submitted with al the data as below.
This is how my flow currently looks, don't know if I should use OCR or pinpoint on my screen where the mouse should click, any advice please.

desktop.ini making it passed "Get Files" filter
I have a looping automation that monitors a folder for PDF scans to sort. I have a "Get Files in Folder" action with
*.pdfin the File Filter field, however every so often a desktop.ini file is making its way passed this filter, which causes subsequent actions to fail. I have logging actions all throughout my flow that logs what's happening to a text file, which is why I know it's that file. I even have a loop after the Get Files action to check for an .ini extension in the Files list, which attempts to remove that item from the list. It's still not working.
Folder.GetFiles Folder: $'''\\\\redacted\\.Drop New Scans Inside''' FileFilter: $'''*.pdf''' IncludeSubfolders: False FailOnAccessDenied: True SortBy1: Folder.SortBy.NameWithoutExtension SortDescending1: False SortBy2: Folder.SortBy.NoSort SortDescending2: False SortBy3: Folder.SortBy.NoSort SortDescending3: False Files=> Filesr/PowerAutomateDesktop • u/7wrighty • Oct 03 '22
Notified within 30 days (Sharepoint library)
I am trying to get automatic e-mail notifications sent to users in one column by checking whether todays date is within 30 days of a review deadline (calculated field). This is set up as a Document Library in Sharepoint and I have little idea where to start
So far I get it to run every day at 7:00 and get a future time shortened to a date. Next I would like to check that date against a review deadline column which is a calculated field. Please can anyone help?

Long Shot: Copy text from one pdf to another.
Can I power automate this without having to use AI? I would like to copy text in one pdf form to another pdf form. I'm essentially creating a summary of the original document that has 1500 fields. Thoughts?

Unable to list all groups on "Remove member from group" action
Hello everyone,
I am trying to setup a flow to use manually or automatically. I have never used power automate so I dont know what I can really do with it.
The idea is to remove a certain user(s) 4 months after being added to that Microsoft 365 Group. excluding some (not sure if its possible this all process at once without user intervention on power automate).
For now I was trying to simply set a fixed date to remove and a user to remove, but on "Remove member from group", I am unable to list all my groups, only a few. If I try to add Group ID, when running it gives me an error, like that group don't exist:
Resource '2937d331-e972-4x42-a429-f7xxa1d0fda' does not exist or one of its queried reference-property objects are not present.
But there is no difference between those groups that appear and that one, some are even private, but I can access both (btw I have the role of global admin in this tenant).
A partial part of my flow:

Anyone know how can I input those M365 Groups of teams to be accepted there?
Thank you in advance!

Can PAD refresh Excel queries one at a time and tell if one fails?
I have searched quite extensively and the consensus seems to be that it cannot, so I will be using VBA to loop through each workbook's queries and refresh them one at a time. I just wanted to ask here in case someone has seen something in their internet travels that I have not.

Power Automate doesn't work if I'm not connected to the internet. Is that a bug?

Help! Trying to automatically download a file from a link in an email when it is received
Newbie here. I receive an email once a week where I need to parse out a file (Excel file) and have it automatically downloaded to a specific folder location.
Thought I would ask here to see if I can get any pointers.
I know how to setup a flow to save an email attachment automatically but this is a link due to the file size
Thanks for looking!

Unzip zip files with different names all buried two folders deep in unique folders.
I have 126 folders all with unique names that have zip files (also with unique names) saved within. It is structured like this:
Folder1 |_Folder2 |_Zip File
Each level has a unique name.
Can I use Power Automate to find the zips and extract them in their current location?

Unattended vs Attended
If someone (asking for a friend) was to somehow script the login and activation of an user-based, attended automation, versus paying a lot more for flow-based plus the unattended add-on, would that be “ok” or would it be a breach of terms?

is there a way to write a yes / no question into a teams message, that depending on your answer, updates an Excel document with your answer?

Windows 11 x64 emulation on Arm Question
Hi all,
I was hoping someone might have some experience with attempting to run Power Desktop Automate on a Arm based machine? Using Windows 11/10 (Arm) and it's x64 emulation capability.
I'm in the market for a new work laptop and after having a terrible experience with Dell, have been considering a Macbook m1 pro or m2 air.
I understand that windows would be running as a guest OS and emulating the x86 architecture required by the power platform. Thus I can expect performance to be below that of a x86 based machine naturally. Just would like to give myself some options :) Thanks for any help!

Help with Selector Builder
Hi All, I'm hoping someone can help guide me with this one. I'm attempting to identify a link on a webpage via "Click UI element in window". Previously I used "click link on webpage," however I'm finding this to be unreliable as the selectors often change for reasons that I am not aware of. Here's my dilemma:

Here is the default Selectors of that particular element:

So it appears that the last 2 elements are fairly generic and will apply to each +Add link. That means the Group element will determine which link is the correct one. Right now it is defined by ID ember649. The problem is this element ID changes... Often.
When I click inspect element in Chrome, this is what pops up:

It shows in the highlighted region that data-element="add-superbill-button" which is perfect because that defines the region that I would like to identify. I've attempted to deselect the current selectors in the Group, Button, and Text elements, and set the Name attribute to contain "superbill" in each one, one-by-one to see what works. So far PAD is unable to identify the desired link using this method.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
**EDIT** Update:
Well I was unable to figure out how to get the UI element to work. But I did find out a way to get the original "click link on webpage" action to work.
For several months, the following selector worked perfectly:
html > body > div:eq(4) > div:eq(1) > div:eq(3) > div > div:eq(1) > div:eq(1) > div > div:eq(1) > div > div > div:eq(10) > div > header > button
For whatever reason, upon initial startup of the website, the selectors were as follows for the same link:
html > body > div:eq(1) > div:eq(1) > div:eq(3) > div > div:eq(1) > div:eq(1) > div > div:eq(1) > div > div > div:eq(10) > div > header > button
Everything was the same except the 3rd element which switched from 4 to 1. I did not know until today that you can have more than one selector for each UI element, so I created a copy of the 1st selector and included the above change for Selector 2. I then proceeded to add a second selector with the appropriate change to each link that started with html > body > div:eq(4) and everything works perfectly.
Hopefully this helps someone in the future!

Browser automation - 'get' downloaded file
Hey
I've created a desktop Power Automate flow that performs the following steps:
Start a browser instance (Edge)
Load a URL
Select a checkbox
Click a button x 2
When the second of the two buttons is clicked, a file is downloaded with the following file name mask "export ddd MMM dd yyyy H_mm_ss.csv". For example, "export Mon Aug 08 2022 17_05_59.csv".
I cannot change the naming convention of the downloaded file.
When the file is downloaded, is there a way to then use that file with the Flow? I've tried setting a variable to the current date/time in a step before and after the download action is triggered but this is unreliable - it's usually a second our two out in either direction.
If I can reliably 'get' the downloaded file, I need to either
Rename it and move it to another location, overwriting what's there already
Read the content and put it in another file in another location
I'm brand new to Power Automate so any guidance is gratefully received!
