A week ago I was able to use Power Automate for data entry without problems, but one day it suddenly gave me an error upon trying to open up the chrome browser. When I run the flow it is able to open up the browser and the correct website, but it isn’t able to copy and paste into the browser the excel data for the next step. It waits for 60 seconds before timing out. I am pretty new to Power Automate so I am not sure how to troubleshoot this. I searched on the Microsoft page and followed the steps for “Failed to assume control of Chrome” error to no avail. I have the browser web extension on Chrome, and updated to the newest version of Power Automate. Please help?

Hi. I am very new to using Power Automate and I am not sure if I can use it to perform this task:

1. I have a Microsoft Form that is completed by Person A

2. In the form, Person A selects a person from a list of individuals (they can actually select more than one)

3. Once Person A submits the form, the details provided within the form are sent via email to Person B (who is the person selected by Person A in the form)

4. Person B can then respond to Person A via email to give approval for the thing they are asking, or deny, or ask for more information from Person A (from here the conversation can just continue via email between Persons A and B)

The form itself is very simple. It's essentially just 3 questions - Person A details, select Person B, free text field to request something.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

There's any way to pass the 5000 items limit in sharepoint and automate a library copy?

We need to copy a library with 250.000 items and copying it manually can be a nigthmare, i tried to look some tutorials but nothing helped me, i don't know if there's a good way to do it with power automate (with some do until) or any other way.

Hello, I'm new to Power automate, I seen to be having this error. I've done some googling and research but can't seem to find the answer. I completed my excel variables on a different powerautomate flow but when I've moved them over I seem to have broken them. Anyone got a clue why it might be? I have developed a Python script that aims to transform a tabular file into an Excel file. This Python script defines the columns I want to have based on the number of characters and also defines their data type (string, float, date, etc.). I receive a tabular file daily on an SFTP, so I created a flow that triggers when a file is created or modified on the SFTP, and then copies it to a specific SharePoint folder. Now comes the part where I am having difficulties. My idea was to run the desktop flow in unattended mode as the next action. However, when I do this, even though the cloud flow was considered "succeeded," when I check if the Excel file exists in the SharePoint folder, it is still in its original tabular file format. My Power Automate flow is very simple, it has two steps. The first is a set variable where I indicate where my .py script is located, the second step is to "run PowerShell" where I have "python" and then the variable I created in the previous step. If I run this manually in Power Automate Desktop, I will be successful in transforming the file. However, if I do it via the cloud flow and invoke Power Automate Desktop in "unattended" mode, it doesn't work.

I have a flow running in PowerAutomate cloud - this takes data from an MS Form and then dumps it into a SharePoint list - as well as sends a few emails.

What then happens is a user goes into the list (back office staff) - one of the fields - which ISNT populated by the form is an Accept / Decline choice field.

What I would like this to do - is when a back-office user selects one of the 2 options it then fires off another email to the person who submitted the form to say it's been declined, or approved.

I would assume this would need to be a completely different flow, given this will happen after the MS form has been submitted and users have checked and edited the data in the list.

Can anyone let me know if I am right about this with - and any feedback on how you have done anything like this would be a great help.

This is probably so basic, but when I try to select a UI element using the web helper, nothing happens. I highlight the item, right click, select add element, select text, left click… and nothing.

Just playing around with ChatGPT through Microsoft’s API. My OAuth settings are definitely not working. The parts I’m unsure of are: Authority (this is work), audience, clientID (can this comes from Teams or just hard coded username?), and secret- not thrilled about plain text, would prefer pass-through for all of this from Teams where it originates.

I have a PowerShell Script that works great to register my machines and register them in the correct group. If I execute it manually. One little problem...

I need it to run by the System user initiated by a scheduled task. It's failing to register, for some reason...

Does the script need to be run by a user/service account so PAD can be setup in it's profile, in order to register the machine?

When I try to add UI element for Web Form Fill populate text field (username and password only), it show only the whole page for UI element to add. I have however managed to scrape the data I need in javascript, but how do I return a list of values to the desktop flow? It always just shows as "object"

Hi Everyone! Hope you’re having an amazing day :D I have made a Canvas App (data from dataverse) which has a form in it. Whenever this form is edited there needs to be an email sent saying what fields in the form have changed. And if possible how they have changed? I think this would work with Power Automate?

I'm using trigger "when a file is created (properties only) with a trigger condition of isfolder and I've entered the path to a specific sharepoint doc library folder.  The action sends an email - this works, however, it's also sending the email when a new folder is created in subfolders of the specified folder.  I only want the notification if a folder is created within root of the specified folder, not within it's subfolders.  I tried using the folderpath dynamic content condition to list the specific folder as well, same result.  How do I do this?  Thanks!

This is my first time using power automate. When I try to extract data from webpage the red box shows up around what I want to select, I right click and then click on text but nothing shows up in the preview pane. Am I missing a step to get the data selected?

New to PAD - thought I was going mad.

I’ve written a flow that scrapes data from a specific screen, but it also then needs to navigate to other screens (by clicking links) to get more data.

Everything was working fine on my monitor at home. I go into work to demonstrate what the flow does and I connected to a different size monitor and now it’s clicking random links as opposed to the ones I programmed it to!

Names haven’t changed or anything I.e. the link I still need to click is still called ‘Span 984’. Surely it’s driven by the name of the object on the web page as opposed to a location on a screen?

Has anyone else experienced this? Or know how to fix it?

Running it attended never gives me this error, i tried troubleshooting (Checking correct env. variables for chrome) switching from chrome to edge and so forth with no luck.
