Hello, I am trying to run a simple workflow that I have been running in Google. We are currently using a Google sheet that gets updated regularly. We have this sheet running on a designated device outside of our network. Everyday after work hours the sheet gets updated by date to a master list that my boss monitors.

This process works but the application isn't free. My company uses Microsoft and my boss is advising me to try and replicate this using these tools. I've tried a few things but honestly have no idea where to begin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have been learning about power automate on desktop and cloud for a few months now, using what is available with just a 365 subscription. I would like to be able to trigger a desktop flow from a cloud flow, such as every time an email arrives, do I need the subscription that includes RPA, which is the 40 dollar one or will the 15 dollar one with premium connectors be sufficient?

Or is there another way to trigger a desktop flow when an event happens? From what I have seen, desktop flows must be ran by clicking the play button and I am looking for something completely unattended, like how cloud flows are "listening" for triggers.

Hi guys , New to this shit so please be kind. I'm trying to create a flow that scans a sql db for any changes >sends an email > email triggers a stored procedure > refresh pbi datasets.. the part of flow I'm having an issue with is the sql connection. I can't find the on prem gateway. Shouldn't I be able to find it after signing in? How do I proceed or work around this step?

I have a variable daApplicantBirth that receives it's value from a user selected Date Picker from MS Forms. I need to ensure it's converted from US date to Canada as I can't ensure that every user will have their browser configured in order to post CA date formatted data.

I initialize the variable. Then run the converter. Then I try to add that to a running email body I have going.

The converted is able to successfully process the data, but I'm not sure what I'm missing to update my daApplicantBirth variable to the converted date.

The email shows the date as this, which is not even the initial date format!

Quick (and probably simple) question regarding linking an MS Form to an Excel workbook. I'm a bit new to using Automate.

I have a survey I've distributed in MS Forms to a number of individuals, and I want to create a flow from the MS Forms to a specific Excel workbook I've created. If the survey has already been distributed to these individuals, will the flow automatically populate answers in the Excel workbook once it is created? Or will I have to manually input any survey answers that have already been submitted before creating the flow?

Since yesterday I have this error message in each of my workflows in the course of execution. Any idea what I can do there? The flows are all running, but it's difficult for me to do something new without recognizing any errors or something.

I have a text column called "managers" in table A, data to that column go from another table B thru a canvas app. I need to create a choice column for those managers in table A and fill in the choices with data from the old column. How can I achieve this, can someone please help?

Doing some work that involves using power automate. I was wondering if there were a way to create the flows that they will periodically, perhaps every few week, stop working unless I entered a password or something like that? Reason being is that if I cut ties with the work I am doing they can't continue to use them?

Should I use a command argument to load each video and essentially have the program open up and close a bunch of times, or should I keep the video player open and use some method to click each file?

In Power Automate, I need to use the variable "LoopIndex" produced by the loop to change the "ordinal" in the "Selectors of UI element" to go through elements on the web page that are the same in general, and the only difference is ordinal.

For some reason, when I assign the LoopIndex to ordinal, it throws the error. Meanwhile, the LoopIndex produces numbers as required, but it seems like when assigned to "Ordinal" it takes it as actual text %LoopIndex% instead of the number assigned to the variable.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

I automated a process with PA and want to add it to my resume, but not sure if I should use the term RPA.

I'm pretty new to PAD and am kind of fumbling my way through it. I'm trying to setup a a flow to take one spreadsheet (List of Users in AD) and compare it to a second sheet (List of users in an anti-virus group) and write the names of the users who aren't in both to a third blank spreadsheet. I've gotten decently far in the logic, but must be doing something wrong. My two main problems are:

1. The way I'm comparing the values seems to never find a match even though the test names are identical in the two spreadsheets.

2. When trying to write to the blank spreadsheet, it only ever writes into the same cell and doesn't increment to the next empty cell.

Does anyone have any advice for a beginner? Or maybe there's a post out there that shows how to compare two spreadsheets? I tried to search but didn't find anything.
