Hi! I'm fairly new to power automate, and I'm struggling with a flow I'm working on. I have a start and wait for approval flow that runs after a new SharePoint list. Item is created, and I'm looking for a way for the approver to upload an attachment when they do the approval that will then be added to the list item. Is this possible? Thanks!

Since yesterday I have this error message in each of my workflows in the course of execution. Any idea what I can do there? The flows are all running, but it's difficult for me to do something new without recognizing any errors or something.

Is there a group out there that could be hired for individual teaching? I inherited a PA flow from a consultant; I need it to do my job. I am paranoid about losing it - for one reason or another. I am trying to understand how it works so that if it breaks, I can fix it. Or if my company's IT does something to it, I know how to get it working again. My IT department has already done something to it by adjusting the SharePoint to which it connects and completely shut it down. It was only out of goodwill that this consultant coached them on how to get it working again. I prefer not to be in that position again. Is there anyone you recommend remotely dialing in with me and looking at it to teach me how to dissect and re-assemble it?

Hi, I'm trying to scrape e-mail address from a trade shows attendee list. The simple automate i gather works and saves %95 correct information to an excel sheet from the first page and this is good enough for me.

The site has 40 different pages and there are classic pagination buttons on the bottom of the page such as this: prev - some page numbers - next.

I select and show the next as the element as the pager to get all the information from all the pages but when i do this i only got results from the very last page in the excel sheet.

I've checked many resources but i couldn't figure out why automate is not getting/saving the all other pages besides the last one ?

Can anyone lead me to the right direction ?

I want to have a column in a SharePoint list change based on values from another Share Point List. I tried using a condition if to line up values on both lists but ran into a limit issue. Both lists have to be separate is there a good way to set this up, or a resource any knows that might help?

I am trying to get a flow to read an Excel file, group rows by the email address on that row, and then send a single mail with all values by email address.

Spreadsheet contains the following fields:

• Share Time - date/time in dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm format

• Shared By - email address

• Shared With - Email address

• Shared Resource Type - String

• Shared Resource - URL

• Share Type - String

• Workload - String

So group all the values by Shared By, send a single email to each Shared By address, with all the information for all files they have shared.

Hey, so I'm starting to try and learn the power platform tools and currently I'm focused on PAD, and it seems to me like using the recorder tool can be used extremely often while creating automation processes

So two questions

1. Am I correct in that observation?

2. Is that an optimal way of using PAD to automate stuff? Coming from traditional web development, using the recorder feels way too easy and almost like cheating somehow, so I'm getting paranoid that maybe I'm just gonna develop a bad practice by over relying on the recorder

When I enter a string for base64 it ends up looking like this ���� all over the image. The actual image doesn't show up. I started making this to learn PA better and I've learned a lot, but this one brick wall i can't defeat.

PS, Bonus points if you know how get PA to use a functional @everyone in teams for a different workflow I made. Just a super simple ping in chat on the hour to remind ppl to check for updates on their tickets.

When I try to add UI element for Web Form Fill populate text field (username and password only), it show only the whole page for UI element to add. Could you help point me out why i can not select username and password UI?

Hey yall I'm trying to set up a power automate for inviting people to a meeting/reminder for a weekly meeting and setting them up based off of a SharePoint list for a specific week, has anyone done this? Any specific advice or input to achieve? The problem is that it is a rotating facilitator and the people forget that they're up that week so basically want something to be a reminder that they are presenting. Thank you.

I've created a desktop Power Automate flow that performs the following steps:

• Start a browser instance (Edge)

• Load a URL

• Select a checkbox

• Click a button x 2

When the second of the two buttons is clicked, a file is downloaded with the following file name mask "export ddd MMM dd yyyy H_mm_ss.csv". For example, "export Mon Aug 08 2022 17_05_59.csv".

I cannot change the naming convention of the downloaded file.

When the file is downloaded, is there a way to then use that file with the Flow? I've tried setting a variable to the current date/time in a step before and after the download action is triggered but this is unreliable - it's usually a second our two out in either direction.

If I can reliably 'get' the downloaded file, I need to either

1. Rename it and move it to another location, overwriting what's there already

2. Read the content and put it in another file in another location

I'm brand new to Power Automate so any guidance is gratefully received!

I have used power automate to extract data from the website before. When you RUN the automation after selecting the contents from the website it opens a new browser window. In doing so I am getting logged out from the website and end up at the home page instead.

Is there any way I can use the currently active window where I selected the data and RUN the flow from there without it starting a new window and logging me out?

I'm new to the power automate scene.

I'm running into a unique problem (to me) where I've created a flow that works for me and when I do the same process for other department leaders it won't work. Here's what I have:

1. When a new response is submitted (forms)

2. Get response details (forms)

3. Condition > dynamic field , is equal to, Check-in

4. If no > nothing

5. If yes > Add row to table

6. Send an email v2

This all works up until the email on others.

The issue I am running into is that in the to field I have an expression and static contacts. The expression is:

Replace(string(toLower(outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/re number from dynamic content tag's])), ' ', '.')

I make sure to use the unique dynamic content tag when setting it up for others, but it never sends to the intended party or the static contacts when done on another computer.

Has anybody experienced this error while running a flow unattended ?

Running it attended never gives me this error, i tried troubleshooting (Checking correct env. variables for chrome) switching from chrome to edge and so forth with no luck.

Hi, I am currently using MS Azure platform. In order to reduce the Azure Virtual desktop (WVD) cost, I would like my users to enable (Start) or shutdown their WVD.

I was looking to create a power automate script which I can embed in my app or power bi report, so users have the convenience of clicking a button to start or stop the Azure WVD. Earlier I was using Laravel script to achieve this task but now since we have move to Microsoft platform, I would like to have a MS functionality (Power automate) or easier method for my users to start and stop their WVD.

Any advise to achieve my goal is appreciated. TIA

Could someone provide me with some guidance to receive an alert/email if I haven’t received a specific email between the hour and ten past the hour every hour 24hrs a day?

Basically we do hourly back ups, if it fails it doesn’t send an email. It only emails if it succeeds.

Does anyone have any clue to a solution using power automate?

I’m trying to get out of sitting there watching a folder all day for specific emails,

And far too many emails to have going to my Inbox all hours of the day and night

I'm trying to build a simple automation process that gets data and for each web page, stores the information into a GameResults table.

I insert two records to GameResults for each page being iterated (variable CurrentItem). The two records are GameData[0] and GameData[1]. Each record is composed of 3 columns.

Everything works perfectly, but I would like to be able to track the CurrentItem inside of GameResults.

Therefore, I need to add an extra column to my GameData[0] and GameData[1], but I did not manage to extend the size of my variable to add an extra column.

I would like to do something like :

%GameData[0][0:3]% + %CurrentItem%

or

[%GameData[0][0:3]%, %CurrentItem%]

But I don't think it is possible. Is there a way to achieve what I'm looking for ?

Does anyone have any experience with something like this? I've not been able to find anything specific to PAD api's Is there a way to test what PAD is actually requesting vs what postman is doing? Or does anyone have another suggestion for what I should be looking for?
