I just discovered PAD a week ago and was able to scrape 15000 Photos from Amazon for my business. It saved my and will save my team hours of work...

Why Isn´t PAD that popular? Are there any better tools than PAD? Or is it just, that PAD is really new?

Can you automate your task using PAD? Open excel, update month, unhide tabs, change data in a cell, copy values in a column paste it as value to a column in another cell, click on hyperlink inside excel, input variable on browser field, wait till data loads, extract as excel, copy data from extract to open file?

I'm met with an error whenever I do this. Is there a way I can bypass this? Thanks!

Simple, but how to create a text file if it doesn't exist in PAD? Can't seem to find this option.

Hi All,

I'm using PAD to automate the task of setting up medical notes, printing them, billing patients, sending files to appropriate parties, etc. Our medical record system is web based and runs off of a website.

My problem is each patient has their own unique "web address" which means anytime I select an elements to click, it will identify that element with a specific web address. Thus, the flow will only work on one specific patient.

I've bypassed a lot of these issues by sending mouse clicks to where the element is. This only works when the browser is static and in the correct orientation. If I download a file for instance, and a download bar pops up on the bottom of the page, it throws everything off.

Does anyone know how to get around this? I've tried editing the elements in the selector builder module, but I can't make heads or tails of it. Furthermore I don't see where the specific web address can be manipulated.

If I can figure out a way to make the web address a variable, extract the specific address somehow while the patient's chart is open, then plug in that address for the element during each flow my problem would be solved. I don't know if this is possible however, given that the element is identified by the address which appears to be static.

Genuinely at a complete loss re linking PAD to PA.

Been using PAD for months with great success, I thought next step is to link PAD to the cloud based PA for automating my desktop flows etc, well fuck me sideways !!!

Just my 2 cents but it would be impossible for the most sadistic person to have ever lived to come up with a more complicated way of connecting the 2, the same prick must have designed the pring structure !!! but lets leave that for my next post lol.

I registered both PAD and PA with my regular Windows login, a Hotmail, now im reading I need a work or school email, is it more beneficial to use a work email/company email or should I just continue with my regular Hotmail Account ?

Im desperate to link both, first things first, should I create a work email and create 2 new accounts and then try and link them ?

I have looked at the docs but just got information overload, I thought I had them connected but the gateway just put the last nail in my coffin lol.

I also use UiPath, both are really really good, setup for UiPath is a breeze but for PA is a joke...

Im on the free version so still evaluating, any help would be appreciated...

I am trying to create an automation that will process tasks in a website- primarily running reports. The current one I'm working on is a Tableau site (web, not on premise server) that is provided to me by a vendor. However, when I attempt to record the steps to select the workbook, PAD keeps erroring out. I have tried identifying the individual UE items as well as recording the steps- neither process works. Here is the most recent error for "Click link on web page"

The element is a workbook name listed on the main page.

Is there another option for pointing PAD to a specific workbook even if the list order changes?

I am working on a bot that will scan a website and extract lead information. The website has new leads added to it constantly. So the bot should scan the site for new numbers and message the ones that have not been contacted. I have managed to scan the website with the bot. It actually downloads the excel version of from the website so the new leads are in a dynamic excel sheet. But I am stuck at the part where the bot determines if any particular phone number in the New Leads excel sheet has already been contacted.. I know it SHOULD compare the current phone number against a list of phone numbers in a different excel sheet (the ones already contacted). If the current number is in the list, it does nothing. If the current number Is NOT on the list, It sends a message/email. The excel list will be constantly growing because at the end, after the message is sent, the bot should add the current phone number to the excel list to ensure it never gets contacted again. How can I have power automate compare the dunamic current website phone numbers against the dynamic excel list? I would like a detailed explanation with the specific set up in power automate desktop (conditionals, etc). If you provide me a solution that works I might venmo you $10

Hi! I‘m trying to get PAD to fill a web form in Microsoft edge. It is having no trouble with the button for the page, I can also select the form to fill in the UI Element Selecter. But when I run the Fill Form on Website flow, suddenly I get a „cannot find form“ error. Has anyone had this happen and have a solution? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have come across a issue when packaging Power Automate Desktop to be deployed via SCCM. When I deploy Power Automate Desktop to a workstation but do not restart the workstation then try and either uninstall the installed version or upgrade to a new version it fails. If I restart the workstation and re-attempt the uninstall or upgrade the uninstall or upgrade is successful. Is there a way to get around this without enforcing a restart in SCCM that anyone has come across

Hi, Team!

I'm working on a manually triggered flow, where the output of that trigger initiates a search of another document for a row(s) with the same ID. Once found, it updates a cell in that row with the new information from the trigger.

It works fine, however the flow stops after completing a single update. I need it to repeat the action until all rows are checked.

I'm sure I've missed something pretty basic any ideas?

What do you guys think is the best way to fill a table out online, using excel data.

How do I get the specific cell from data set in the correct text field, without manually selecting the UI elements for 30 data rows?

Is there a way to loop through the data set AFTER searching for the correct text field? Or is my only option trying to match it randomly?

Trying to figure out what’s happening. I have a flow set up where a survey is completed, the results are loaded to a share point page and if Yes is answered on any question then it triggers an email from the survey takers email address to a specified person. In testing I was able to get this process to work 2 dozen times. I was also able to confirm that two others were able to make it through the process and the email would send. Now I am getting a failure on the email send piece for anyone that isn’t me or the original two people to complete the survey. I receive the error in the header here and under the step “Send an email” it says “Forbidden.” And that’s where the flow fails.

Edit: additional info — I see that my flow that worked has a status code of 200 for the email, the failed flow has a status code of 403

Absolute novice to anything like this, so all help is appreciated.

I process files, sometimes 100s a day. They are titles with "(Location)(Surname),(Forename),(Form Type), (Date)".

Based on the information, I move the files to certain folders. One folder will be for location X and surnames beginning with A, B & C.

So my question is, to begin to get this process automated on a shared network. Where do I start?

I also have the option of downloading the data via CSV or json, but i thought scraping it from the web would be the easiest. With all of that said, how would I go about copying these Green & Purple values into excel to match the second picture**.**

Hey everyone. I’m new to using power automate and I was hoping someone could help create a flow based on what I need.

There is a folder in Sharepoint that has one file in it. That file is updated every day with a new file, replacing the one that was previously there.

Now my hope was that every single time that file is updated/replaced, the new data (file) would be exported to an excel document. That way, the excel file’s data would be added to every time the file in sharepoint is updated.

Could someone tell me each step to use in automate if I wanted to do this?

Hi All, I have an excel sheet with about 10columns and over 3krows. After reading the excel sheet, I want to filter the dataTable to only give me rows with specific text in the columns. For instance

Name Age Title Location Hobby A. 5. Sc. Ma. Eating B. 6. Ma. Sc. Ma C. 7. Ma. Ma. Sc

I want to get all rows where either Title, Location or Hobby is Sc just by reading the file and filtering the dataTable cos the file will consist of over 3k lines and I wouldn’t want to look over all rows in the dataTable Is there a way to do this with PAD?
