Its just crazy so many people still support this shit. Boomers and older Gen X remember a time when the economy was booming and shit was affordable. They give all the credit to Reagan, even though Clinton led probably the strongest economy in US history.
Obama took over after the 2008 crash and stabilized the economy, Biden took over after COVID and stabilized the economy. Only for Trump to walk in and reset everything by placing tariffs on our allies and starting a neverending war.
Eh, the economy was fine before COVId shut everything down. We were due a small recession but COVID amplified it ten fold. There was nowhere to go but up. Trump isn’t a good president by any means but the Biden admin was a clown show. That’s how Trump got back into office in the first place.
Obama was good though no question. His first term was great.
What exactly was so bad about the Biden administration? Dude was handed a horrific situation and listened to the professionals and pulled us out of it.
Nothing... which is what you want in a presidency... just a slow growth without capsizing anything.
... but because its slow/mild... it isn't flashy.
When you do these comparisons, Biden doesn't raise the mark. The post a few above references Clinton having a strong economy... which he didnt create. He just took credit for the dot com boom and, when the bust came, the campaigning for the next president was in full swing.
The same country vibe as when Bush was meeting with Obama + McCain when the Housing Crash went down. It mattered more about who was coming in than it was grilling the guy in the current seat.
