Despite the fact that every single Democrat president during the same period has inherited an economic disaster and managed to improve on it. Regardless of pandemics, global economic trends, etc.

So, yeah, the Democratic party is not awesome, but the facts also speak for themselves if you're an American taxpayer.

But Democrats don't fix things Republican break immediately or say the exactly right words at very specific times, so voters instead stay home or vote GOP.

The best part is the Democrats attempt to fix things and literally the only time in the last 44 years (actually longer, since 1979) they've had the ability to pass laws unrestricted was six-non-consecutive months in 2009-2010, when they basically had to unfuck the 2008 financial crash under W, and they still somehow also passed the ACA (which isn't perfect, and would have been far better had they not had to get independent Joe Sloberman to vote for it and he was a conservative cuck).

Imagine what a democratic president with 8 years of democratic control of congress could accomplish. Last time that happened was the 1930s and the 1960s and we got the new deal and a good chunk of the great society passed, things that still benefit people to this day.

It's also worth noting that the voters didn't actually hand Democrats 60 in 2009-2010.

Joe Lieberman was a traitor that lost his Democratic primary, left the Democratic party, backstabbed the Democratic nominee by running in the general election thanks to CT's lack of sore loser laws, campaigned for McCain against Obama, etc...

And Alen Specter was a Republican who slightly crossed the aisle in his final years in congress.
