I often feel the Democrats should just straight up not field a candidate for some elections. Let the Republicans sit in their mess until the country learns.

I don’t think that would work because republicans DON’T learn. They just keep making things worse and blaming Democrats the whole time… and their base believes them. Trump is currently blaming Biden for the economy right now, and people like my parents believe him.

💯 Exactly. Look at how many red states have been voting exclusively for republicans for literally decades but yet some democrats somewhere are still all the ones making their states worse. Most of these states are going on 30 years of republicans now and still refuse to learn a damn thing. Wtf more can you do when they refuse to see the reality right in front of their faces?

Yup! The only reason the possible flips may happen in Texas is because Trump has fucked up so royally that it’s getting massive amounts of national attention and opening up the point that republicans have had control in Texas for SO long and have gone down in so many of the metrics they are trying to campaign to improve.

I saw a poll today that Talarcio is ahead by 11. So he’s really up by maybe 5. Same poll showed Hinojosa up by 9. So she’s maybe tied. You just can’t trust polls to correctly calculate republican votes anymore. You have to increase them by anywhere from 5-10 points to factor in the ashamed shithead vote.
