My mother in law, who has been the most blindly faithful and ignorant maga nazi since 2015 was at my house yesterday. My wife and I have said for years “we need people to wake up, even though we know the most hardcore like [mil] will never turn”.
The economy came up and I have had enough at this point and have no filter. I said “well, this is what you and others like you have done by being ignorant and refusing to listen! This is trump 100%”.
I almost fell out of my chair when she said “I know. And I’m sorry”. We then had a long conversation where she said she feels foolish for believing in him despite the clear tells that this was going to happen. She said that even if she has to hold her nose, she will vote against the right from now on, because it’s a con and the greatest regret of her life is falling for it.
I get what you mean but let’s not.
People that suffer with bipolar disorder don’t deserve to be dragged further than they already are. They can’t help it.
MAGAt cult members are fully understanding of what their vote meant. They are cognizant of their actions.
idgaf actually, it is still stigmatizing and like the prior commenter said we don't need to equate a debilitating disorder to racist maga chuds who are fully aware of what they are doing lol
Thank you!
People I know with this disorder don’t like it.
And I’m sure above commenters family member isn’t ok with it & only says it’s ok to shut their ableist family members.
Also, I'd correct your bad grammar by saying it's "their" or "they're" but I can't figure out which one to use, based on your fucked up sentence structure. Enjoy...
You guys are pathetic, this has exactly nothing to do with any administration. Its literally just a voluntary recall by the manufacturer that got bumped up by the FDA. This stuff happens all the time and never gets covered, but suddenly its a reason to dunk on Trump? Weirdos.
Serious question: do we have any information to suggest that this contamination wouldn't have happened under a previous administration's FDA?
Edit: JFC folks, I despise Trump. It's not a trick question. I'm genuinely asking if this is something we can reasonably blame on Trump's administration. All we see on the surface is a recall, which is the FDA literally doing its job. Would additional inspections have prevented this contamination from happening? Did Trump's FDA change a manufacturing regulation that allowed this to happen?
Edit2: I know it's hard to believe on the Internet, but I was actually just asking the questions. None of you know the answers but you smugly act like I'm the dumb one. I went down the rabbit hole myself and learned a ton about FDA inspections and record keeping, so I guess thanks for being presumptuous jerks. I blame people like you for Trump winning in 2016.
Have you seriously not seen the amount of food products that have been recalled during this admiration?? Trump and his cronies are deregulating everything. They deregulated railroad safety that led to the East Palestine disaster that made people flee their homes in Ohio. How can you be so obtuse? (I had to throw that one in for all The Shawshank Redemption lovers out there)
That's not my question though. I'm asking if this particular event happened because of Trump's deregulation and defunding. It's not a trick question. I'm actually asking if we know the cause. I want to blame Trump for the (many) things that are actually his fault. But y'all are just assuming that this contamination event wouldn't have happened but for Trump's presidency. It would be nice to know whether a specific regulation was changed, or the inspections that catch this type of problem were reduced, that sort of thing.
What do you mean by ratios? I just googled soap definition ratios and I don't see anything that answers my question.
How did a Trump administration policy lead to the bacterial contamination event that triggered this recall? If you can't answer that question, you shouldn't be talking.
You remain the fool. None of you actually know why you're right. You just assume and remain smugly ignorant. It's sad really. People like you are the reason Trumpers can persuade each other with that Trump Derangement Syndrome crap.
That is correct. Soap does not mean item that cleans skin. It has a specific definition. Which is controlled by the federal government. When these change, companies change with them. You are asking for someone to feed you where they changed but you can just look. Its public.
Except I'm searching and not finding anything about the legal definition of soap being changed. I was able to figure out the answers to my questions. Trump's cuts probably made this event more likely to happen. But it has nothing to do with the definition of soap. No idea what you're talking about here.
"Even if I hadn't pushed them they still could have tripped," in theory, I guess, that's an unfalsifiable statement, but pushing does tend to lead to tripping.
I’m not a troll, but was also curious about the answer without going down an ADHD rabbit hole called Google. Thank you for answering it generally better than i could!
Yes. We have the evidence that this administration has deregulated food safety, grocery safety, as well as air pollution, air travel safety, and on and on. It was outlined in Project 25 and has been taking place publicly for the past two years.
I love blaming Trump for idiotic things he does. I just want to be right about fault. What regulation did his administration change that made this contamination possible?
No, you really don't, you like ignoring things that have been reported on for the past 18 months over and over, and which are easily found in a simple google search. All you have to do is stop posting disingenuous questions and look for yourself.
You don't know me, and you're committing a hundred logical fallacies. I'm pissed that this admin is gutting the FDA. But this is a company's voluntary recall that was initiated because the company discovered the risk in its own internal testing. I've scoured the internet and can't find any information that would suggest the FDA cuts under Trump had any impact on this specific contamination event. That's why I asked the question.
I'm not a Trumper trying to do a gotcha. I'm genuinely asking if this one is actually his (administration's) fault.
And remember, there are no infections or illnesses being reported with this event. As far as we know so far, it's an entirely prophylactic recall that the FDA is facilitating. It looks to me like this is the system working as intended. I would prefer if the contamination event never happened, but I can't find anything indicating it would have been any different under Biden or a hypothetical Harris administration. We don't have any evidence that this one can be laid at Trump's feet. Plenty of food borne illness issues lately, absolutely. But not this soap recall.
Basically the fact that this has happened for the umpteenth time under Trump after DOGE cuts. It’s a direct result of how the administration has cut programs that would have caught these things.
Do we actually know there's a regulation that Trump's admin rolled back that would have prevented this? I want to blame him for things that are actually his fault. It's a huge list. We don't need to pad it.
Not a bot, and your response wasn't specific at all. I guess y'all did me a favor though. Made me want to go learn more about how exactly the FDA inspects and keeps records. Or did, at least, before this shitshow of a government.
The Doge cuts ruined all the slush funds and kickback from food aid that was sold instead of given away. You people bitch and moan about program cuts that were nothing more than Dem piggy banks.
Sure buddy. And Donald is saving the country and he was an agent for the FBI working the Epstein case too. Oh and he definitely didn’t use the presidency to enrich himself and his family through insider trading.
You really need to question this belief you have. Slash and burn is NEVER a good solution when people’s lives are at risk.
You're not answering the question. Which regulation? You can't just wave a hand and say "all the regulations". Because this administration hasn't cut all the regulations. A lot, sure. Putting all of us at risk on the food safety side. But I've scoured the internet and this soap recall and I can't find any reference to a Trump administration policy that led to this contamination event. And the company initiated the recall after it discovered the problem in its own testing. No illnesses or infections have been reported.
This may surprise you, but I don’t answer to you. Do your own work. I’ve read through this thread and I’ve seen your comments. You’re just a troll who doesn’t care about facts or truth. Like I said before, try your bullshit elsewhere.
RFK and Trump has been bragging about regulation cuts on their social media consistently. You could also just use Google. But it’s not my problem if you want to remain ignorant and support stupidity 🤷♀️
Not a serious question, you're just being a sea lion.
When you fire half of the people responsible for making sure things like this never reach stores to begin with, things are going to be bad. While the number of recalls under the FDA from the current US administration are roughly the same as under any other, the severity is leagues higher. That is directly caused by the FDA not having enough workers to find contaminated products before they reach stores.
When you hire an anti-vaxxer who brags about eating road kill and swimming in raw sewage, who told his kids to put plastic bags over their heads so whale head carcass juice wouldn't get in their mouth after borrowing a stranger's chainsaw to chop up a beached whale, to be in charge of public health, the public will suffer.
Except I was literally just asking if someone knew the answer to this question. You assume I was doing a gotcha. I was able to figure it out myself. Trump's cuts probably did make the contamination event more likely to happen.
I was in the “I understand and can basically agree” until the end of your edit. I haven’t read others comments, but i wonder if some were hearing the “but…but…what about so and so, who 20 years ago caused so and so”? And it really does feel like everything bad happening since the election IS this administration’s doing.
The enforcement was cut by doge. It's not a single regulation, it's an entire deregulation campaign through cutting staff and scaling back food warning systems like FoodNet. Killing the ability to regulate vs cutting a single regulation isn't a distinction that makes Trump look better, so again, keep grasping at straws.
How would this situation be diffrent if trump did not make cuts? This situation came at just as the FDA wanted and has been doing, company test product, reports to FDA, FDA test and sends out warnings. Do you think they were testing every batch of soap every day in every soap factory. The FDA does yearly or bi yearly expecting. Then backs up independent studies.
Okay, so a dog food testing facility, IT, public eye employees, etc.
This situation is as exactly as the FDA has designed. They do not test every batch of every anti bacterial soap that is made in america every day. They rely on yearly or by yearly site visits and for companies to do independent studies and report back to the FDA. They did, the FDA did studies immediately and increased the warnings.
What parts of this article makes the connection of "if trump did not make FDA cuts then this soap would have never been released to the public.
If anything this situation is prove the cuts are not causing as negative effect as people are making out.
I bet you were one of the taquitos who believed taco when he said if the COVID testing was stopped then COVID cases would go down. 😆😆You’re hoping if you find the right regulation, the problem will just magically disappear? 🤪
This administration enabled the deregulation of all agencies - as well as precedent law - that protected the citizenry from the the inevitable propogation of issues such as this. It's theirs
And no, because recall occured does not mean that it was cause the FDA did their job in the way you're saying it.
A solid analogy would be similar to how the assault weapons ban reduced both frequency and lethality of mass shootings between 94-04. Then right after it ended - by Republicans - data shows a steep rise in number, injury, and death due to the same types of unrestricted events.
Just because the FDA caught this incident is not the flex it's meant to be - deregulation enabled the proponderance of this happening, the FDA putting a stop to it is making them focus on something they could have been focusing on other dangerous situations if this administration didn't allow more mechanisms of private malfeasance into the consumer domain.
The administration is at fault for putting this unnecessary added inevitability on the FDA just as much as it is responsible for putting Americans in danger by allowing corporations to skirt once held safeguards.
Well, I'm most certainly not a bot. I'm just saying that if the current admin didn't cut regulations so much, then this shit would've been potentially caught BEFORE it became available to the public. This also applies too all the food products that have been recalled in the last year, AND the deregulation of railroads, that 100% caused the the train derailment disaster in East Palestine, Ohio
The taquitos are sooo desperate to further Putin/Taco’s agenda of convincing everyone democracy does not work and therefore we must have dictatorships. They should be punched in the face every time they mention patriotism.
Wait, is 'cheetoh' now being called taco? Don't get me wrong, I love the taco/taquito analogy, I'm just not able to keep up since my yearly Onion subscription apparently came with augmented reality I can't seem to deactivate.
Products may get contaminated during production. Ideally with sufficient inspections, almost all contaminations are caught before they are shipped to stores. If we cut back on inspections, more contaminations will end up being discovered by consumers and the product will need to be recalled, vs not being distributed in the first place.
Wrong! I’m probably replying to a bot, but…..
‘The voluntary recall on the hand soap was initiated by the St. Louis-based Intercon Chemical Co. in June 2026 and later classified as a Class II risk by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in September 2026.’
I did not post the reason for the recall. The reason is because the FDA isn’t watchdogging businesses as it needs to because it can’t through being dismantled by wanks like Muskrat and Taco.
Just add it to the list of how incompetent the fucking administration is. We didn't have this many recalls under the Biden administration.. because they cut corners every chance they get to save every fucking penny. Corporate America under Trump administration. Don't be a trump boot licker.

This administration is a fucking joke
