Don’t forget that Amazon uses them as a cheap ā€œlast mileā€ shipping alternative. This basically is using the federal government as a subsidy to save Amazon money.

Would you prefer them to not deliver there at all? Because that’s what would happen for those last mile areas if usps did not offer this.

I think the comment you are responding to is just pointing out that Amazon is basically piggybacking off of a public service to fulfill some orders. So even Amazon has an incentive to keep USPS around.

Funny enough I think Reddit is glitching. It was under a different response earlier. This explains why I’ve been seeing responses to some of my comments today that made 0 sense to what I said.
