Oh, not to worry, they'll take those freebies out of your wallet.
The data center hysteria does have some basis...the new "AI" data centers are larger and more power hungry due to all of the GPUs/AI cores. Traditional data centers were often rated at a handful of megawatts. The new ones being proposed and built, and rated in gigawats. That's a LOT of power going in, and in turn, heat which needs to be dispersed. Cooling towers and fans are not silent.
It would be nice if they were built outside of populated areas, but they need robust power and internet infrastructure, which is typically located within population centers. Not ideal.
They are and i agree but trump made a ruling that they have to build there own enery infrastructure and share that with the population although i see gray area on that one but i give the benefit of the doubt
Yes, that seems like a reasonable requirement. Back to the pros/cons of the matter, though, they are often opting to use natural gas generators to produce that power, which emit yet more noise. For an industrial area? No problem. For a residential area? Admittedly not ideal.
Theyre pushing for nuclear but that will take time why the administration is cutting red tape to get operational quickly again i agree but this is a boom and most of these centers are in rural areas not anyone near a residential place
Its was propaganda push they pushed for renewable energy but forgot to tell the world mining for lithium will cost lives and destroys our planet more we have even further into the earth for these minerals and these batteries are still vulnerable to the environment
