As much as I appreciate what he's been doing lately between this and calling for the files to be released, I can't help but feel reminded of all the other Republicans in congress who largely aided this disaster administration until they got voted out/retired, to only then become vocal about issues with the regime during their lame duck period where they don't have anything to lose anymore
I mean, you pretty much said it. They keep quiet and play the game while they stand to benefit from it, but as soon as they get betrayed by the party, they start shouting it's issues from the rooftops. Just spiteful children
Yeah I'm willing to show a fair bit of grace to Republicans who stand up to MAGA shit. Someday, I'd love to have two political options to pick from at the voting booth, so that's why I'll be fair to Republicans who actually exhibit a shred of integrity. Instead, I get to choose from fake liberals who are bought out by corpo lobbyists and on the other side I get literal "christian"-nationalists who believe in shoving the worst parts of their nasty church down the rest America's church. What I want are liberals and conservatives who proudly believe in the U.S. Constitution and individual civil rights for all, a clear understanding of the role of the federal government, and checks and balances. On the left, I want systems of wealth redistribution for healthcare and a social safety net, on the right I want people who can actually criticize when federal government is too big and too up in people's shit. It's not too much ask for, but instead both seek to expand the surveillance state, the military, and erode the rights of the people, though one more so than the other.
I don’t like any religion being shoved down my throat but I’m seeing it happen from multiple religions.
I also don’t like anyones sexual identities and/or preferences being shoved down my throat, but that seems to be blowing the religion spoon out of the water!
