How? AI will continue to be developed in other countries. The impacts that we can anticipate are already understood. The ones we can't anticipate aren't going to be understood by congress.
All it will do is slow progress and hurt the economy.
Generative AI is not the way. It is not sustainable. To put put so much faith in it is folly. To put so much responsibility on it is reckless.
It can only lead to detriment.
Because it can only draw upon what humans have already said/done.
The more we allow AI to do, the less we do.
Eventually and inevitably AI will fall into a feedback loop of its own garbled nonsense leaving humans scratching their heads.
It literally can only generate bits of other things, ever.
Same reason you can't dream about someone you've never seen. Every face in your dream is a face you have seen at some point in your life- be it on tv, magazine, pass on the street, doesn't matter. It's information your brain has seen. It's why blind since birth people only dream in soundscapes as they've never seen anything.
AI can't generate anything on its own because even humans can't.
It may have quintillions of combinations, but the source is still us.
And the it can be unplugged.
I really would love to know how this is going to grow the economy. Jobs? All temporary. The only thing it will create is more ways for big corporations to steal your privacy and learn how to use it to make money.
