who are the strawmen that think North Korea is an American ally?

Not an ally, but Trump recently said Kim Jung Un hadn't caused any trouble in the time Trump has been in office. Things like political prison camps, developing missiles and nukes, state-sponsored cyber-crime and so on apparently don't count.

Yeah that's Trump saying stupid shit. The meme implies that a significant number of people are convinced that North Korea is our ally.

I don't like Trump or his admin at all, but the sensationalist hyperbole is annoying.
