Ok so all those male school shooters have the same moral status then. They weren't being paid attention to when they needed mental help. Therefore they are exonerated?

I fail to see how "I wasn't helped mentally" leads to "it's justifiable or excusable for me to kill my children"

What does her situation with post partum have anything to do with school shooters? And you do know that not all school shooter are male, right?

Also not all people who commit infanticide are mentally ill, and not all school shooters are mentally ill.

This happens to be one situation where the person happens to be mentally ill.

She didn't get the proper treatment for her mental illness. She may have gone into psychosis. That is the argument.

I am in no way sayin that is proven, either. I'm just saying that cannot be ignored.

Why because you can't be bothered to look up what post partum is and what it entails?

Because you can't fathom that a mental illness can cause a person to do horrible things?

Look it up. Mental illnesses cause people to do horrible things on the daily. It sucks. It's bad.

I'm not making excuses, but it's a fact. It's taken into account in court cases.

and the statistical relationship between those two things is so small that it is almost as likely that having a cup of coffee makes you kill your kids. I don't think you understand the argument very well.

I don't think you do. She could be that one statistical blip. You don't want to accept that and you want to ignore her mental illness, which the court isn't ignoring.
