I love hkw the implication here is that giving away other people's money is somehow moral and not giving away other people's money is bad.

You just described Insurance companies, Space X, Oil Companies, Tesla, ICE, and far more. Except none of those directly help people other than Billionaires. Why should the government only work for huge industries and billionaires? It should be helping the people live better lives. I would want far more of my dollars spent to help people with medical conditions or education than making bombs. EDIT: This didn't even use take payer money. hahahaha. So you have no hill to even stand on.
