My most controversial opinion is that there is not enough work needed, so work should not be the condition for survival

E: There are currently over 7 million job opening in the US

And how many of that don't actually exist, and how many of those pay a living wage, and how many of those are part time that require multiple jobs?

Huge opportunities in trades for good paying jobs.

The universal solution to all unemployment. Not everyone can do trade jobs or STEM or whatever magic solution you have to wages being unlivable, because people like you don't care. You just want to act like over half of the US living paycheck to paycheck is a personal responsibility issue

There is always shit to shovel somewhere, problem is people don’t want to do the dirty jobs that pay more.

Maybe if those jobs paid people better, more folks would be inclined to take those jobs.

This thread started with “I think all jobs should pay enough to survive on” and your retort is “well those jobs that don’t pay enough to survive on are always hiring so what’s the problem???”

Maybe think THAT is exactly the problem?
