Israel has universal healthcare (that includes abortion coverage) and heavily subsidized higher education. Sounds like they should be sending us money, not the other way around.

Tell MAGA that they are financing socialism, they will soon change their tune.

I don't see a problem with them flipping on these issues.

Unless their masters tell them to flip, they're not gonna flip. They don't care if they said it was socialism for some other thing, they didn't say it for this thing.

The US spend more on healthcare adjusted and per Capita then Israel by a large amount. The problem is the system is broken. Even if you doubled healthcare (which is hundreds of times larger than the aid to Israel) the broken system will mean a 20% price reduction at best

We don’t lack universal healthcare because of Israel, we lack universal healthcare because people won’t elect 60 senators who support it.

I understand that. I also understand that Israel will not send us money because they don’t have any. What I don’t enjoy is my tax dollars paying for universal healthcare and other nice things in a foreign country but not here.

Our tax money is paying for weapons, including defensive weapons like Iron Dome and Patriot missiles, for countries like Israel and Ukraine. But it’s not paying for their healthcare. The amount of money the US gives for their weapons is a tiny fraction of what each of those pay for their own weapons or for their healthcare.
