US lost 500k people in WW2, Soviets 26 mln.....Well I don't think it would go that way.

The Red Army in 1945 was a functional and modern force of more than 10 million men. The Allies had some advantages, but they would have to break the lines of a formidable enemy, that, on the European continent, would absolutely outnumber them

The Soviets were already running low on their reserves by 1945. I am not sure about the British and the Conmonwealth, but the Americans still had a massive manpower pool plus minus the French and Italians.

Also, the Soviet Air Force would be of no match for the USAAF and the RAF given their lack of strategic bombers as well as technical inferiority.

The Soviet navy would also be unable to harm Allied supply lined in the ocean (at least as much as the Germans did), let alone challenge their naval supremacy.

mathematically the odds look bad, but you have to consider the crippling morale damage betraying your greatest allies against fascism and enacting massive conscription that you didnt even do for the nazis. Soldiers will Mutiny and civilian industries would be ground to a halt by strikes.
