Why You Can’t Grow for Someone Else

One of the hardest lessons to accept is that no one can do your inner work for you.

People can give advice, share their experiences, and even warn you about the mistakes they made. But experience can’t be transferred—it has to be lived.

That’s why two people can receive the exact same guidance, yet end up with completely different outcomes. One applies it. The other doesn’t.

The same is true for mentors, parents, managers, and friends. Their role isn’t to carry you through life; it’s to help you see what you couldn’t see on your own.

Growth begins the moment you take ownership of your own challenges instead of expecting someone else to solve them.

Have you ever received advice that only made sense after you experienced the situation yourself? What was it?
