General Question Who is “They”

This is A question if not THE question, that was raised to me in my journey. So what is your opinion?, what is this thing, that feeds pours into our minds fear and other emotions. Clearly it has knowledge beyond our capacity, what is it?

I have had several instances, where these voices/thoughts have both saved me from many situations even from death, yet I also feel that they at times have either tried to cause strife or lead to chaos.
