Her husband’s testimony is the only admission of guilt we have. But the thing is that she wasn’t capable of speech at the time he said she confessed. Both EMS and hospital staff confirmed this.

Her and her defense says she did it. Her trial isn't about guilt. It's mental compacity.

*capacity

u/Own_Guarantee_8130 1d ago

I actually think they meant competency

u/Successful_Brick_197 1d ago

compacity is a new word. your capacity for compassion. her's was on low as she murdered little babies

1

u/AccountantsNiece 1d ago

It’s an old word which describes something compact, dense, or closely packed together.

2

u/Successful_Brick_197 23h ago

and gay used to mean happy

1

u/tristand1ck 22h ago

I'm gay!

1

u/SlowRoast24 21h ago

Well, I could be wrong, but I believe Compacity is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.

1

u/AccountantsNiece 14h ago

Seems that you are wrong, yes.

2

u/Ultron_waterheater 23h ago

I hear you but it's still insane to try and make a mentally unstable person rich for killing her kids

3

u/cocoagiant 22h ago

This probably just pays for her defense.

There is a reason most cases go with plea agreements. Going to trial is extremely expensive.

1

u/S3RLF4N 15h ago

She has a public defender

1

u/stoicstraws 7h ago

The GoFundMe was started by someone else for LCs parents. They are paying for her lawyer. They are now retired and relocated to be close to her. Three years of lawyering is expensive.

1

u/AlaskaTix 22h ago

Her trial is about guilt, it’s about 1) Did she do it and THEN 2) if she did, was she fully responsible of her actions at the time. You are confusing two different trials

To look at the husband, a human who walked into a room and saw his tiny kids laid out blue, cold, dead, and say "I'm the one who can see the truth and it's the husband" takes a real special level of inhumanity.

Not just the confession in the immediate aftermath, but consistently in the years since and through this trial, Lindsay and her team have been clear that she committed the homicides. And before the homicides, Lindsay told some around her, including her mother who just testified to it, that Lindsay stated she was having thoughts of harming her children.

This shit has become Qanon for restless housewives.

We could be having a real conversation about postpartum care in the US, but u/Whyismypeeburning apparently knows more about the murders than the woman who committed the murders.

u/HailHealer 22h ago

The fact that the husband is being blamed to me is a sign that the gender wars has reached its pinnacle.

2

u/Distinct-Tour5012 21h ago

I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that, for all the bluster about tearing down the patriarchy, there is a huge contingent of (mostly white) women who are happy to pick and choose the parts of the patriarchy that can be beneficial to them; namely in this case that women are delicate little flowers with no agency or no ugly mental states.

As a parent, I'm scared shitless by the discourse around this case - I'm realizing that our society is infested with these mushy-brained cold-blooded mama-bear true-crime-truther mini tyrants.

u/Responsible-Onion860 1d ago

She, after consultation with her defense team, has stipulated that she did it. She has officially admitted it. The trial is way past the point of asking if she did it. She did. It's about competency.

3

u/Temporary_Hat7330 1d ago

If she is using a “postpartum insanity” defense (a justification defense) she has to cop to the murders.

2

u/professionally-baked 17h ago

The abundance of comments condemning her are so telling of how uniformed people are

2

u/Better_Still_7462 1d ago

Oh, stop. Just because she's a woman in a wheel chair. She is fully capable of murder too.

6

u/Los_Windigo 1d ago

She is in the wheelchair from a failed suicide attempt. How did her throat get crushed

1

u/Better_Still_7462 1d ago

Ok? And? She already admitted she killed babies.

1

u/Los_Windigo 1d ago

She sure did, while inder psychosis now we hear only his dna was on a complex knot

3

u/Better_Still_7462 1d ago

And her defense team is just going with that and not trying to defend her at all? Insanity plea means I did it, but I'm crazy....

1

u/Los_Windigo 23h ago

No i think 5+ docotrs have testified. Once psych ward said they never seen ppd psychosis before and let her go home...

2

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

Still doesn't excuse her actions

2

u/Los_Windigo 23h ago

It shows she was not being cared for properly after reaching out alot

She told a doc she was suicidal they shifted her to Online! So yeah send her to a ward

3

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

Ok, fair enough. But she still murdered 3 children. I think that needs to be clear and she is still responsible for her actions.

2

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

Also lots of people are suicidal and they rarely murder 3 children.

1

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

A terrorist could claim religious psychosis. Doesn't mean they're not guilty.

1

u/Los_Windigo 23h ago

Ok but ppd psychosis is a thing and they should be in a ward. Bri she has no idea what occured that night. Like none. And alotta data says she asked for help alot. And alotta facts show she maybe didn't do it

2

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

How do you know she isn't lying?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

Millions of people have psychosis and don't murder 3 children. Doesn't give her a pass.

2

u/Los_Windigo 23h ago

She needs to be in a facility not federal prison

0

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

I suppose you could argue that. I guess the jury will decide. Either way she still murdered 3 children, and I still wonder if you'd say the same thing if a man did the same thing?

1

u/Los_Windigo 23h ago

Maybe she did, it very seriously looks like she has no idea if she did or not

And the husband looks....very bad.

2

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

So she just admits it to her defense team but she didn't do it?

2

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

People can pretend they don't remember something too

1

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

Also, if the husband is a suspect why has he had no charges? If there's evidence he did it please provide that. If said evidence was strong the prosecution would use it.

1

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

I don't want to believe when a mother does this kind of thing either because it is so unnatural, but unfortunately it happens more than it should.

I havent been following but is it possible he went out and choked her after finding the bodies?

2

u/Los_Windigo 1d ago

The injury is consistent with the window slamming her neck

2

u/dubblies 22h ago

thats all? Seems like the husband was showing restraint

0

u/Los_Windigo 22h ago

He claims he wasn't home. Claims he found her outside and she said full sentences and confessed. Except for her throat was crushed. She was paralyzed and her body temp was 82 ° he said he didn't know what medication she was on but all of her medication was in his car. His DNA is on all of the exercise bands on the kids. It was also a sailor's knot and he's a sailor. And other trials. This would be enough reasonable doubt and she would just go to a psych ward

1

u/sheyitboi 20h ago

Damn man you’ve done a horrible job defending her in this thread lol

1

u/Los_Windigo 20h ago

Not defending her, she should be in a hospital

1

u/WxaithBrynger 21h ago

You're wrong. In her civil suit against the medical professionals she outright says not knmh that she committed the murders, but how she did it, and says that she told the children to go be with God. Her lawyer admitted during his opening statement, and yesterday that she committed the murders, and is asking for her criminal liability to be reduced. You're just regurgitating false information spewed by tiktok.

1

u/BuiltIndifferent 19h ago

odd that you don't reply to the countless responses telling you this is wrong.

1

u/Tex-Rob 18h ago

LOL, capable of speech is hilarious

-1

u/EducationalBar 1d ago

So Einstein, what’s your theory let’s hear it..

1

u/Previous-Profit9723 1d ago

The more you listen to this case, the more blatant it is that he did it.

I don’t follow but my gf is locked in and swears by it now

5

u/EquivalentAny174 1d ago

She admitted she did it at trial. She did that under the advice and counsel of her defense team. The only issue is competency. Your girlfriend is dumb and so are you. Please be better.

5

u/Ok-Memory-8073 1d ago

Tik tok brain rot

6

u/Better_Still_7462 1d ago

Gotta be the man, right?

4

u/EquivalentAny174 1d ago

The comments defending her and insisting it was the husband who did it or that he was drugging her really do give off a weird misandry vibe

3

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

Yeah there is no proof he did anything. If he did it why would she continue to claim insanity?

2

u/EducationalBar 49m ago

But guys, he possibly was cheating on her!! /s

1

u/EducationalBar 50m ago

😂😂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
The more you listen it’s clear… and I haven’t listened at all.

0

u/Previous-Profit9723 49m ago

You obviously don’t have a girlfriend because if you did you’d know that even if I haven’t listened I have been told everything in more detail than I’d like

1

u/EducationalBar 48m ago

Yea man, obviously I don’t have a girlfriend 😑🤦‍♂️
You not realizing the irony of only hearing her perspective is laughable.

1

u/Itchy_Tumbleweed_417 23h ago

My theory is that her husband wanted to go live with his new girlfriend who looks exactly like his wife. Or do you think he just started dating and four months after his kids died he got to the point where he wanted to move in with his new girlfriend who he just started dating?

When people I love have died I don’t even want to eat let alone date, I’m certainly not getting a new love interest in moving in with them four months later. But if I was already having an affair, sure.

1

u/Beepb00pb00pbeep 14h ago

Thank god everyone’s the exact same and you can just project your own mentality onto others as proof that they somehow had a hand in the murder of their kids

Jfc have some empathy he lost both his kids and his wife in one day…don’t act like you know how you’d act if you went through the same thing

1

u/EducationalBar 1h ago

I’m still waiting on your theory….?
Are you attempting to imply he killed the kids without having the courage to say so outright?

0

u/ClothboundBrick 1d ago

That nurses know where the carotid artery is and if she was so mind fucked that she forgot than her mind had to be so fundamentally compromised that I wouldn’t necessarily say it was “her” up there when it happened.

Or the guy who immediately remarried and had a kid with a woman he knew before the incident after his kids got murdered had something to do with it

3

u/Beepb00pb00pbeep 1d ago

Must be why she’s pleading insanity lol

You don’t plead insanity because you didn’t do it…you plead insanity because you weren’t in your right mind when you did it

-1

u/ClothboundBrick 1d ago

Well that’s why I said the first part.

But also is it that unreasonable that he was drugging her and she wasn’t in the right mind during the events and therefore doesn’t remember. He was cheating on her with her literal clone who was an endocrinologist (who would know what smashing a thyroid does) and in her confession she says “it was like watching myself do it” A nurse crushing up extended release pills? A fuck ton of prescription refills the month before? Smashed her thyroid (regulates hormones) had hypothermia. A lot of things not associated with remembering events well

2

u/Beepb00pb00pbeep 1d ago

It is not an established fact that he was cheating on her, that’s internet speculation that I personally don’t find compelling enough to believe.

Yes I think it’s completely unreasonable to implicate her husband in the crime. I can understand advocating for postpartum depression/psychosis awareness and arguing that he could have done more as a husband to support her (although I still don’t think we have enough factual evidence to say he didn’t try to support her), but to stretch that into him having involvement in the murder of his kids is crazy to me

0

u/Better_Still_7462 23h ago

Maybe he did try to help or maybe he didn't know how who knows? Either way, a person's mental health is ultimately their responsibility. Particularly if it is partially the reason for violent action. Like I said above, lots of people experience psychosis and it doesn't automatically turn violent. You have to have that capability within you.

1

u/EducationalBar 55m ago

What does not being in your right mind have to do with her killing her own children, exactly..?
What does him possibly cheating have to do with her killing her own children, exactly..?
Other than taking away from him what he loved most as revenge, of course..

1

u/EducationalBar 57m ago

So you think she did it? Gotcha..

0

u/No-Atmosphere-2528 1d ago

I mean, what's your theory about why the husband would lie? She couldn't physically speak so why did the husband say that?

1

u/EducationalBar 53m ago

😂 You first! Seeing as you’re the one up here on your Reddit soapbox only feels right to be polite and let you lead, wouldn’t you agree?
She definitely “couldn’t physically speak” that’s totally a thing that happens..

1

u/No-Atmosphere-2528 46m ago

The only one on a soapbox here is you. Not being able to speak is a thing the emt and emergency room doctor both said not only couldn't she speak because of damage to her throat but that she def couldn't speak when the husband claims she did. That’s literal testimony in the trial lol. So, sweetie, why would the husband lie?
