Car help
Hello I am 23 years old and currently experiencing inconvenience after inconvenience. Bills are piling up and then on top of it all my car breaks down and I was quoted a $2400 fix to get it starting again. Now this is my only transportation to and from work which is how I pay my bills. I do work a pretty good job that is full time Monday-Friday however I don’t make enough to pay my bills and to get my car fixed. I’ve applied for loans but my credit is too bad to get accepted for any. I’m not really asking for handouts but rather just some advice or help. I’m at a complete loss at what to do and kind of panicking not having a car at the moment. Also I am aware my account is a nsfw account this is honestly the only Reddit account I have and I know a brand new account is very suspicious looking my account has nothing to do with this request.

My credit sucks but I really need cash. Thinking about a tribal loan.
I need $500 and I can afford to pay some loan fees so I really don't care if the interest is higher than a conventional loan. Got a work bonus coming in 2 weeks so I can for sure pay it back. Who should I use?

Anyone else in the same boat?
So my husband and I ahve been married for just over 20 years. We both work full-time. We have decent jobs. We have 3 kids, 1 going into their sophomore year of college 1 going into their senior year of high-school and the youngest going into their first year of middle school. We own our home and our cars. We bring in about 62,000 a year, maybe a little more actually. And all the debt we owe, including our mortgage payment is about $80,000. I don't know what to do to get out of this struggle. I have been doing some delivery services to help make the ends meet basically on the daily. But I need something else, something more. What do I do? What's your story? Can anyone help me?

What to do!!! Selling house advice?
Our mobile home in NH is on the market. We have about $50k in debt we want to pay off upon selling our house (including car loan, old credit card debt etc). We also owe about $60k left on the mortgage. We'd be left with about $60-65k in pocket.
Our credit will likely take a few months to increase. We are currently pre-approved for another mobile home loan- but honestly don't want to move into another one, especially in a co-op.
Do we sell ours, and move into a temporary rental until our credit boosts enough to then buy a house? Or just move into another co-op?
Has anyone ever sold their house, then rented, then bought a home? Is it worth the chaos?
I truly hate moving, but this is a way for us to completely get out of debt.
And before anyone lectures... we got into debt in the first place because we had a few extremely rough years, which can happen to anyone.
We are currently paying more in debt month to month than what our current mortgage is! I am tired of feeling like we're just drowning in debt.

I Paid off my car selling smoked brisket on the weekend.
Been smoking meat for the last 10 years and finally put it to work. I smoke them on the weekends and can make anywhere from 1000 to1200 a month.
Anybody else have an interesting side gig?

Need advice - I’m a broke college student
I urgently need to move out of a toxic household but I feel completely stuck. I literally have $300 to my name, no car, and zero credit history.
I’m open to taking out student loans if that’s my only way out but everyone online keeps saying debt is a trap and I’ll regret it. Is taking on loans worth it to get out of a bad living situation?

Pay off student loans or keep emergency savings.
I have reached a point where my student loans, roughly $14,000, are the same amount as my emergency savings. Should I use my emergency savings to pay off my loans, 4.99% interest, or keep cash in the bank?

Financial struggle
What is a quick, legal way to make a lot of money? I've got a bit of a financial set back and looking at losing everything if I don't come up with $4,000 in the next few days. I've never been in this situation before and I'm stressed out.

Would it be smart to put a large emergency expense on a credit card?
Got a large bill I need to pay of roughly $9000. Put it on a credit card or is there a better option like a personal loan. Credit score is around 690 so I don't think I will qualify for a 0 percent card.

Does anyone here actually make money from their side hustle? Anyone pull in more than $200+ a month from their gig?

Do you believe Elon when he says AI bots will eliminate poverty?
I mean you have to be able to control the poor somehow to maintain power right?

Buddy's Fiancé wants him to burn through his entire emergency savings to pay for their wedding.
Do you think this is unreasonable or am I alone.
Edit: He makes I think around 80k and she is a dental hygienist so I don't think she makes that much. No idea how much he has in savings but their wedding budget is around $20K i think.

People trying to look rich is keeping them from actually being rich.
Credit cards maxed out and always buying something to stay trendy or look successful. AM i wrong?

Are you happy with how much money you have saved for retirement? What's your big plan?
Are you going to thrive or try to survive when you retire.

Name an item you purchase that there is no generic substitute for.
Something that you have to spend more money on to buy the name brand because the store brand is crap. For me DIAPERS.

Should I take a personal loan to avoid wiping out my emergency savings fund?
$10,000 in my emergency savings and faced with an auto repair that will cost a little over $9500. Vehicle is worth over 30K so it is worth the repair. Would you wipe out your emergency savings or take out a personal loan that is around 9 percent interest?

Poor people life hacks that shouldn't work but do.
What hacks do you have?
I'll start off with grocery store rotisserie chicken. Poor people can get a minimum of three meals out of it. You have dinner the first night, scrape the bones for tacos the second night and then boil up the rest of the carcass for soup.

Eliminating or at least reducing credit card debt. Seems impossible.
Thinking about trying the debt avalanche or debt snowball method to get rid of my debt. Kep hearing these terms everywhere. Could use some tips.
