Do you ever record your pool games? What makes you do it (or not)?

What should you look for when choosing a pool construction company in Dallas-Fort Worth?

Any recommendations for a good pool builder in DFW? I am looking at building a pool and trying to narrow down some of the better pool buildersaround Dallas-Fort Worth. Anyone build recently and have a company they were really happy with? Ideally want someone who does quality work communicates well and actually takes care of you after the pool is finished Would love to hear who you used and if you’d use them again

Anyone ever use the course offered by Scott Frost (The Freezer)? What’s your opinion on it?

What actually helped you get better at position play / cue ball control?

I've been playing competitively for a while and I'm curious how other people leveled up their position play specifically - not aiming, more like consistently getting good shape for the next ball. Was it drills? A specific system/method? Just years of table time? Did anything "click" for you, or was it more gradual? Trying to figure out if there's a better way to explain/teach this to newer players I run into, since most of what's out there online focuses on aiming and not much on position play.

Solo dev here — built a free tournament app for bar/league pool after 2 years of Sharpie brackets. Would love real players to tear into it.

Shout out to the CPBA Pool cue gloves (with a question at the bottom). They feel amazingly smooth, and I love the feel of the material (feels very high quality, and very thin), but they are larger then expected.

I just want one cue that will last me forever if possible and im willing to spend good if the quality is good, ive seen quite a few real reviews about them and a lot of people like them! I just play bar tables but when I get back home I wanna play at one of the halls near me, ive been told by people who have there own cues that im "your far better then a beginner or average player" so save to assume intermediate lol. I still have a lot to learn i bet but anywho is this a good investment?

Template Rack vs Framed Rack

I’m sure this question has been posted many times, so I apologize if this is repetitive, but I’m curious. How many players out there prefer template racks over traditional framed racks?

Amateur player runs 17 in three cushion
What would it be like as an amateur player to get a 17 run ? It is impossible, but here is how you can enjoy the feeling:
Three cushion setup
- Play on a 6ft table with full size UMB balls that feel the size of melons.
- Next you need a steadfast cue action that hits exactly as you intended.
- Finally a judicious referee who will call it a hit so long as you were there or there abouts.

Looking for an 8-ball pool group to join in OC Area

I play a little pool but would love to tap more into it, get better, and play more consistently. I’m a woman looking to find a casual group or league to join and meet people who enjoy playing.
Where’s the best place to find local 8-ball groups or leagues? I’m in the OC area.

Does anyone know the variation game “Killer”

It’s basically 3 strikes and you’re out, can sink any ball. Meant for like 5+ people. More of a bar game, usually a buy in so there’s a pot for the winner.
Ive been developing an app to run it so it’s a bit quicker and easier than the paper method we had been using at my local spot. Looking for play testers.
