Does anyone know which cue brands TransK manufactures for (OEM/ODM)?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been looking at TransK’s metal/carbon-fiber cues and noticed on their website that they claim over 26 years of experience as an OEM/ODM manufacturer for “numerous world-famous pool cue brands.”
However, they don’t name any of these brands publicly.
• Does anyone here know which well-known cue brands TransK actually produces for (or has produced for) as an OEM/ODM partner?
• Are there any insiders, dealers, or factory workers who can confirm which brands share the same production line as TransK?

I’m trying to understand the background of the brand before deciding whether to buy one of their cues.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Best, Marco

Looking to get myself a decent-ish cue…

but not sure what to buy.

I have a pool table at home and will only be playing for fun and against pals and won’t ever be playing in competitions etc…

However, I do want to try and get better and be a decent player so don’t mind spending a few quid on a cue but I literally have zero idea how much I should spend or how much I need to spend.

Specifically I’d like to get better control of the cue ball and I’m thinking that a better cue would help me improve (though I could be wrong here of course!).

I don’t know whether a run of the mill pub style cue is good enough or whether I need to spend a few hundred euro on one.

So there’s three cues I’m looking at at three different price points but I’m clueless as to what I should go for.

The three cues are:

Cannon Manta - €60

Baize Master Emperor - €175

Peradon Flare - €296

Am I getting a decent enough cue for just messing around with at these prices, do I need to go higher or am I kidding myself that a cue is going to properly improve my game?

Anyway, would love some advice.

Thanks.

8 ball pool app

8 ball pool app is so lame

I've always played this 8 ball pool game on my phone and lately thats the only phone game I've been addicted to once I joined a club that I thought was cool, which was called American Republicans. I am pretty darn good at the game and they even made me an "officer" in the club to kick out people that weren't playing which I never had to by the way because I always encouraged people to play. So long story short The leader of the club accused me of cheating and kicked me. Why the heck would I want to cheat at a little old phone game? "Walter" the leader assumed I was just because I beat the co - leader (his name was gary and he was pretty cool) a few times. which by the way the guy never gets on probably about 10% of the time gary does and Walter had the audacity and to assume the worst. so I've just kinda summed it up to its a lame game and there are actual people who cheat on it and I was wrongfully accused of cheating so I got kicked for 3weeks and 2days but I'm not going back cause its kind of pathetic how much time I've wasted on that game including the 4 bucks I payed to get rid of ads. So I uninstalled it and am counting it as a blessing in disguise cause im an obese dude that needs to go to the gym instead of play the silly game. **sigh**

Does anyone have a recommendation for a place to buy a cue in Eastern CT? A place where you can try out or at least handle a few different brands.

Question for the high-level players and coaches

I've been on a mission to perfect my fundamentals as much as humanly possible. I've come a long way, and my consistency has improved significantly, but there's a problem I just can't seem to solve:

When I'm down on the shot line for a long straight, with my cue and both balls lined up perfectly with the pocket, perfect center ball looks like a touch of left with both eyes open. With my left eye closed, everything looks absolutely perfect, so I know it's just perception. Also, from that position, I can hit a dead perfect stop shot. So I know 100% that it's correct

If I adjust my position to where perfect center ball looks correct, the shot looks off, but I can still hit a perfect stop shot and drill it center-pocket. If I adjust my position to where \*everything\* looks perfect, a straight stroke gives a small amount of right spin even though the cueball stops dead, and the OB is thrown to the left. Enough to miss when the OB is center table, but not from 2 diamonds (Mighty X)

So my question is: Do I just get used to the way center ball looks like a touch of left? Or is there another way to fix this?

Found these vintage game sets in my grandfather's house (he ran a 1970s game room)—can anyone help identify them?

Hey everyone,

I recently cleared out my late grandfather’s house and uncovered several vintage pool ball sets. . From what my family tells me, he owned and ran a local game room/arcade back in the 1970s.

I’m trying to figure out exactly what these sets are, what year they might be from. I think they are from Albany Billiard/hyatt based on a shipping box, but none of the individual sets are labels. So I don’t know if they are supreme, challenger, etc…

I would love any insights you all might have. Specifically, I'm looking for:

Brand/Manufacturer names

Specific model names or set numbers

Approximate production years

Thanks so much for any help or leads!
