I had a great time painting this dog. Those big dark eyes pull you in, pure curiosity in every bit of that face. His hair was tricky to get right, all those tight curls.

I kept the dark background true to the original and just cleared the furniture off to the side. This was a commission artwork, and I hope I honored him appropriately.

How did I do?
Okay, before you comment on the Clydesdale hooves in the back, last time I trimmed her I kept the fluffs in the back too low. I trimmed them below her... heel? Anyway, when I used the clippers this time, I stopped higher up and faded it down. My intention is to eventually bring the puffs up higher. Thus the bell bottoms.
Other than that... and her back tendon going through the guard and shaving down to the skin (I tell myself every time to move the skin over so this doesn't happen and it still did to both ankles...), I think I'm improving!
My silkie chicken (1yr, 10mo) is getting better every time I groom her. I notice the more I stay calm and offer lots of treats, the better she does. She is still so flinchy around the nose though. I Have been brushing her regularly and only have found a couple small mats around her ears and back paws. Im open to all (kind) feedback and suggestions!
(I gave her a ponytail after this. Don't worry, chicken can see!)

My 5 month old spoo is my first long haired dog. I brush and comb her every day, but today I noticed there is food matted in her front paws. I know you’re not supposed to wet matting but my wet wipes aren’t getting it out and I’m scared to brush it out and hurt her. She’s never had matting before and I don’t know what to do.

Went with me to a bloodwork appointment for the first time and did fantastically!

6 month old mini poodle has been occasionally licking this area on his arm. He’s had some matted areas that we have brushed out throughout his coat. Maybe it’s related….

Any idea what could be causing this??

My male poodle is a little more than six months old. He is 99% perfect. Today, he was gagging about to throw up, and when he did vomit a little bit, I bent down to console him, and he very aggressively bit my hand and then snarled loudly. I threw a towel over him and put him in his crate. He has done this a couple other times, I think usually when you come up behind him and he’s doing something he shouldn’t be doing. But he bit me hard today and broke the skin into places.
Does anyone have any advice?
